What AALAMIN is

AALAMIN helps readers distinguish the Qur'anic text, named translations, editorial observations and later sources - without blending them together or deciding what the reader must believe.

AALAMIN is not a new translation, tafsir, fatwa service or replacement for qualified scholarship. It is a transparent reading and research platform.

What does context mean here?

  • the verses surrounding a passage
  • differences between named translations
  • the historical and linguistic information attached to those translations
  • clearly identified editorial observations
  • later sources, when available and legally cleared

The Arabic Qur'anic text is never rewritten or modified.

What makes AALAMIN different

The text stays at the centre. Its own context stays visible.

AALAMIN keeps the Qur'an at the centre and shows it in its own context: each verse among its neighbours, its translations side by side, its easy-read line, and a plain-words reading. Every layer is named, dated and sourced — and it says plainly what it does not supply.

AALAMIN currently focuses on the Qur'anic text and legally cleared translations. Later-source material will only be displayed when its source, edition, translation and usage rights can be verified.
