তারা দুজন বললো: ‘হে আমাদের রব! আমরা তো আশঙ্কা করছি যে, (তাকে পরিপূর্ণরূপে দা‘ওয়াত দেয়ার আগেই) সে আমাদের উপর (দ্রুত শাস্তি দিয়ে) বাড়াবাড়ি করবে অথবা (হত্যা, ইত্যাদির মাধ্যমে) সীমালঙ্ঘন করবে।’
