Το παράδειγμα των (καλών) πράξεων εκείνων που αρνήθηκαν την πίστη στον Κύριό τους είναι σαν εκείνο της στάχτης που τη χτύπησε ένας δυνατός άνεμος σε μια θυελλώδη μέρα (και έτσι εξαφανίστηκε). Δε θα μπορούν να πάρουν ή να βρουν τίποτα από ό,τι έκαναν (επειδή οι καλές πράξεις πρέπει να έχουν ως βάση τη σωστή πίστη στον Αλλάχ). Αυτό (που έκαναν από καλές πράξεις χωρίς αληθινή πίστη) είναι η (ξεκάθαρη) πλάνη που είναι πολύ μακριά (από την αλήθεια).
