অতঃপর কত জনপদ আমি ধ্বংস করেছি, যেগুলোর বাসিন্দারা ছিল (কুফরীর কারণে) যালিম। তাই এসব জনপদ তাদের ঘরের ছাদসহ (উলটে পড়ে) ধ্বংসস্তূপে পরিণত হয়েছিলো, কত কূপ (আগন্তুকশূন্য হয়ে) পরিত্যক্ত হয়েছে এবং কত সুদৃঢ় প্রাসাদ ধ্বংস হয়েছে!

No foti hewde e ce'e ɗee Min kalki ɗum tawi ko nde tooñnde, hara hende ngajjii e kippudiiji majje, e woyndu jirbundu e kuɓeeje toowɗee [eggaande].
და რამდენი სოფელი [მისი მკვიდრნი] გავანადგურეთ, როცა ისინი იყვნენ ბოროტმოქმედნი [ურწმუნონი]! და აი, ისინი [ეს ქალაქები და სოფლები] [ახლა] დანგრეულნი არიან ძირფესვიანად! და რამდენი წყარო და აღმართული სასახლეა მიტოვებული [იმ სოფლების მკვიდრთა დაღუპვის გამო].
Und wie viele Ortschaften, die Unrecht taten, vernichteten Wir, so dass sie bis zu ihren Dächern verödet in Trümmern lagen, und (wie viele nun) verlassene Brunnen und hochragende Schlösser!
Πόσες πόλεις καταστρέψαμε ενώ ήταν άδικες (και άπιστες), και έτσι, γκρεμίστηκαν τα σπίτια τους (και έγιναν οι πόλεις άδειες από τους κατοίκους τους)! Και (πόσα) πηγάδια έγιναν εγκαταλελειμμένα, και (πόσα) ψηλά δυνατά παλάτια (δεν προστάτεψαν τους κατοίκους τους από την τιμωρία Μας)!
तो कितनी ही बस्तियाँ हैं, जिन्हें हमने इस हाल में नष्ट कर दिया कि वे अत्याचारी थीं। अतः वे अपनी छतों पर गिरी हुई हैं। और (कितने ही) बेकार छोड़े हुए कुएँ हैं तथा पक्के ऊँचे भवन हैं।

45. Ir daugybę gyvenviečių Mes sunaikinome, kai jos buvo suteiktos bloga darantiesiems, taip kad jie plyti griuvėsiais (iki šios dienos) ir (daugybė) apleistų šulinių ir prabangių pilių.

Сколько же селений Мы погубили, а ведь они были несправедливы, — и вот они — пустые развалины, рухнувшие на свои кровли, и заброшенные колодцы, и воздвигнутые дворцы!

Basi ni miji mingapi iliyokuwa ikidhulumu tuliiangamiza, ikawa imebaki magofu, na visima vilivyoachwa, na majumba yaliyokuwa madhubuti?
Hur många orättfärdiga samhällen har vi inte utplånat? Nu står de öde, i ruiner, med sina övergivna brunnar och fallna palats.
