They have expelled the Messenger, and you, because you believed in God, your Lord. If you have mobilized to strive for My cause, seeking My approval, how can you secretly love them? I know what you conceal and what you reveal. Whoever among you does that has strayed from the right way.

হে তোমরা যারা ঈমান এনেছ! তোমরা আমার ও তোমাদের শত্রুদেরকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করো না, তোমরা তো তাদের প্রতি বন্ধুত্বের বার্তা প্রেরণ করছ; অথচ যে সত্য (দ্বীন) তোমাদের কাছে এসেছে তারা তা অস্বীকার করছে এবং রাসূলকে ও তোমাদেরকে এ অপরাধে (মক্কা থেকে) বহিষ্কার করেছে যে, তোমরা তোমাদের রব আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমান এনেছো। তোমরা যদি আমার পথে জিহাদে ও আমার সন্তুষ্টি লাভের জন্যে বের হও, তবে কেন তোমরা তাদের সাথে গোপনে বন্ধুত্ব করছ? অথচ তোমরা যা গোপন করো এবং যা প্রকাশ করো তা আমি (আল্লাহ) জানি। তোমাদের মধ্যে যে এমন করবে, সে সরল পথ হতে বিচ্যুত হবে।(১)

Τους δείχνετε φιλία, ενώ αυτοί αρνήθηκαν την Αλήθεια που ήρθε σε σας, και εκδίωξαν τον Αγγελιαφόρο (Μωχάμμαντ) και εσάς τους ίδιους (από τα σπίτια σας στη Μάκκα), μόνο και μόνο επειδή πιστεύετε στον Αλλάχ, τον Κύριό σας;! Αν έχετε βγει για να (μεταναστεύσετε από τη Μάκκα προς τη Μαντίνα, και να) πολεμήσετε στο Δρόμο Μου και επιδιώκοντας την Ευαρέστησή Μου, (τότε μην τους παίρνετε ως φίλους). Τους δείχνετε φιλία κρυφά, ενώ Εγώ γνωρίζω όσα συγκαλύπτετε και όσα φανερώνετε! Και όποιος από σας το πράττει, τότε πράγματι έχει παραστρατήσει από τον Ίσιο Δρόμο.

ऐ लोगो जो ईमान लाए हो! मेरे शत्रुओं तथा अपने शत्रुओं को मित्र न बनाओ। तुम उनकी ओर मैत्री[1] का संदेश भेजते हो, हालाँकि निश्चय उन्होंने उस सत्य का इनकार किया है, जो तुम्हारे पास आया है। वे रसूल को तथा तुमको इस कारण निकालते हैं कि तुम अपने पालनहार अल्लाह पर ईमान लाए हो। यदि तुम मेरी राह में जिहाद के लिए और मेरी प्रसन्नता तलाश करने के लिए निकले हो (तो ऐसा मत करो)। तुम गुप्त रूप से उनकी ओर मैत्री का संदेश भेजते हो, हालाँकि मैं अधिक जानने वाला हूँ, जो कुछ तुमने छिपाया और जो तुमने ज़ाहिर किया। तथा तुममें से जो भी ऐसा करेगा, तो निश्चय वह सीधे रास्ते से भटक गया।

اے وه لوگو جو ایمان ﻻئے ہو! میرے اور (خود) اپنے دشمنوں کو اپنا دوست نہ بناؤ[1] تم تو دوستی سے ان کی طرف پیغام بھیجتے[2] ہو اور وه اس حق کے ساتھ جو تمہارے پاس آچکا ہے کفر کرتے ہیں، پیغمبر کو اور خود تمہیں بھی محض اس وجہ سے جلاوطن کرتے ہیں کہ تم اپنے رب پر ایمان رکھتے ہو[3]، اگر تم میری راه میں جہاد کے لیے اور میری رضا مندی کی طلب میں نکلتے ہو (تو ان سے دوستیاں نہ کرو[4])، تم ان کے پاس محبت کا پیغام پوشیده پوشیده بھیجتے ہو اور مجھے خوب معلوم ہے جو تم نے چھپایا اور وه بھی جو تم نے ﻇاہر کیا، تم میں سے جو بھی اس کام کو کرے گا وه یقیناً راه راست سے بہک جائے گا.[5]
