- 04 4:119–120 AND SURELY I WILL LEAD THEM ASTRAY, AND SURELY I WILL AROUSE DESIRES IN THEM, and surely I will command them and they will cut the cattle's ears, and surely I will command them and they will change God's creation. The vow is stated four times and every version contains an exception the speaker names himself.
7:16 is the fullest and the most unsettling: I SHALL LURK IN AMBUSH FOR THEM ON THY RIGHT PATH - the ambush is set on the straight road, not off it - and then four directions: before them, behind them, from their right hands and from their left.
17:62 adds a grievance and a scope: SEEST THOU THIS WHOM THOU HAST HONOURED ABOVE ME? IF THOU GIVE ME GRACE UNTIL THE DAY OF RESURRECTION, I VERILY WILL SEIZE HIS SEED, SAVE BUT A FEW.
And then the permission, quoted in the text: lead whom you can WITH THY VOICE, urge your horse and foot, BE A PARTNER IN THEIR WEALTH AND CHILDREN, and PROMISE THEM. Followed immediately by the assessment: SATAN PROMISETH THEM ONLY TO DECEIVE.
4:119 itemises four undertakings, and two of them are oddly specific - cutting the cattle's ears, and changing God's creation.
38:82 has him swear it BY GOD'S OWN MIGHT: I SURELY WILL BEGUILE THEM EVERY ONE - SAVE THY SINGLE-MINDED SLAVES AMONG THEM. He names the exception in the vow itself. 7:17 does the same by conceding MOST of them, and 17:62 by conceding a few.
And 14:22 is the same speaker on the last day, withdrawing all of it: I HAD NO POWER OVER YOU SAVE THAT I CALLED UNTO YOU AND YE OBEYED ME. SO BLAME NOT ME, BUT BLAME YOURSELVES.
The vow is large, self-limited at the moment of swearing, and disowned at the end.

17:63 მიუგო [ალლაჰმა](იბლისს): «წადი და მათგან, ვინც შენ გამოგყვება [ადამის შთამომავლობიდან] ჯოჯოხეთი იქნება თქვენი საზღაური, სრული საზღაური.
17:64 და მოხიბლე [ცოდვაში] მათგან ისინი, ვისაც შეძლებ, შენი ხმით, შეკრიბე მათ წინააღმდეგ შენი მხედრობა და ქვეითნი, თანაზიარი იყავი მათი ქონებასა [1] და ძეებში [2] და დაჰპირდი [შენს მიმდევრებს ტყუილი]! სატანა კი არაფერს ჰპირდება ცდუნების გარდა!
17:62 Er (also Iblis) sagte: „Was meinst Du wohl von diesem, den Du mir gegenüber mehr geehrt hast? Wenn Du mir bis zum Tag der Auferstehung Aufschub gewährst, werde ich ja seiner Nachkommenschaft ganz gewiss die Zügel anlegen, bis auf wenige.“
17:63 Er sagte: „Geh (fort)! Wenn dir nun einer von ihnen folgt, so ist die Hölle gewiss euer Lohn, ein reichlicher Lohn.
17:64 Und bedränge, wen von ihnen du (bedrängen) kannst, mit deiner Stimme, und biete gegen sie deine Reiterei und dein Fußvolk auf, und habe Anteil an ihrem Besitz und ihren Kindern, und mache ihnen Versprechungen.“ - Aber der Satan macht ihnen (ja) nur Versprechungen in Trug. -
17:62 (Ο Ιμπλίς) είπε: «Βλέπεις (ω, Αλλάχ) αυτόν που έχεις τιμήσει πάνω από μένα! Αν μου δώσεις αναβολή (και με αφήσεις ζωντανό) μέχρι την Ημέρα της Ανάστασης, σίγουρα θα υπερισχύσω (και θα παραπλανήσω) τους απογόνους του, εκτός από λίγους.»
17:63 (Ο Αλλάχ) είπε: «Φύγε! Και όποιοι απ' αυτούς θα σε ακολουθήσουν, πράγματι, η Κόλαση θα είναι η τιμωρία για όλους σας, άφθονη ως τιμωρία.
17:64 Ξεγέλασε (και υποκίνησε και κάλεσε) όποιους μπορείς απ' αυτούς με τη φωνή σου (με το κάλεσμά σου να σε υπακούσουν, και με τα τραγούδια και τη διασκέδαση), και φέρε εναντίον τους, (τον στρατό σου από) τους ιππότες και το πεζικό σου (που πηγαίνουν προς τις αμαρτίες καβαλώντας ή περπατώντας), και έχε μερίδιο στα πλούτη τους (με το να τους διατάζεις να τα αποκτούν με αμαρτίες και να τα ξοδεύουν σε αμαρτίες) και (έχε μερίδιο) στα παιδιά τους (με το να ωραιοποιήσεις γι' αυτούς να έχουν φιλενάδες και φίλους για να αποκτούν παιδιά από μοιχεία εκτός γάμου και να απομακρύνουν τα παιδιά τους από τη θρησκεία Μου -το Ισλάμ-, στην οποία γεννιούνται, προς άλλες θρησκείες που θα εφευρίσκουν αυτοί), και δώσε τους (ψεύτικες) υποσχέσεις!» Πράγματι, ο Σατανάς δεν τους υπόσχεται παρά μόνο εξαπάτηση και πλάνη!
17:62 (तथा) उसने कहा : क्या तूने इसे देखा, जिसे तूने मेरे ऊपर सम्मानित किया है? यदि तूने मुझे क़ियामत के दिन तक अवसर दिया, तो मैं निश्चित रूप से कुछ को छोड़कर, उसकी संतति को अपने वश[38] में कर लूँगा।
17:63 अल्लाह ने कहा : जा! उनमें से जो भी तेरी बात मानेगा, तो निःसंदेह तुम सब का भरपूर बदला जहन्नम है।
17:64 उनमें से जिस पर तेरा बस चल सके, उसे अपनी आवाज़[39] से बहका ले, और उनपर अपने सवार और प्यादे चढ़ा[40] ला, तथा धन और संतान में उनका साझी बन[41] जा, और उनसे झूठे वादे कर। और शैतान उनसे जो वादा करता है, वह धोखे के सिवा कुछ नहीं होता।

17:64 64. „Ir apkvailink juos palaipsniui, tuos iš jų, kuriuos gali, savo balsu (t. y. dainomis, muzika ir bet kokiu kitu kvietimu į nepaklusnumą Allahui), atakuok juos savo kavalerija ir savo pėstininkais, dalinkis su jais turtu ir vaikais (viliodamas juos uždirbti pinigus neleistinais būdais – lupikavimu, arba įtraukdamas į nelesitinus lytinius santykius), ir žadėk jiems.“ Tačiau, Šėtonas nepažada jiems nieko, tik apgaulę.

17:64 Na wachochee uwawezao katika wao kwa sauti yako, na wakusanyie jeshi lako la wapandao farasi na waendao kwa miguu. Na shirikiana nao katika mali na wana, na waahidi. Na Shetani hawapi ahadi isipokuwa ya udanganyifu.
17:62 Sedan sa han: ”Säg mig, är detta den [skapelse som] du har kommit att hedra mer än mig? Om du låter mig vara kvar till uppståndelsens dag ska jag förleda hans avkomma, allesamman utom ett fåtal.”
17:63 [Gud] svarade: ”Försvinn härifrån! De som väljer att följa dig ska få helvetet som straff, och det straffet är omfattande och komplett!
17:64 Hetsa den du kan med din [förledande] röst, och sätt in dina styrkor mot dem, både till häst och till fots. Var sedan delaktig med dem [genom att försköna olagliga sätt] att skaffa rikedomar och barn, och ge dem falska förhoppningar!” Men Satans löften till dem är ingenting annat än bedrägeri.
17:62 Şu benden üstün kıldığını görüyor musun? Yemin ederim ki, eğer beni kıyamete kadar yaşatırsan, pek azı dışında onun soyunu kendi buyruğum altına alacağım" demişti.
17:63 Allah: "(Haydi) git, onlardan kim sana tabi olursa, sizin cezanız Cehennem'dir. Eksiksiz ve tam bir cezadır!"
17:64 İnsanlardan gücünün yettiklerini sesinle davet et. Atlı ve yayalarınla onların üzerine yürü! Onların mallarına ve evlatlarına ortak ol, onlara vaadde bulun! Şeytan onlara aldatmadan başka bir şey vadetmez.
17:62 اچھا دیکھ لے اسے تو نے مجھ پر بزرگی تو دی ہے، لیکن اگر مجھے بھی قیامت تک تو نے ڈھیل دی تو میں اس کی اوﻻد کو بجز بہت تھوڑے لوگوں کے، اپنے بس[1] میں کرلوں گا.
17:63 ارشاد ہوا کہ جا ان میں سے جو بھی تیرا تابعدار ہوجائے گا تو تم سب کی سزا جہنم ہے جو پورا پورا بدلہ ہے.
17:64 ان میں سے تو جسے بھی اپنی آواز سے بہکا سکے بہکا[1] لے اور ان پر اپنے سوار اور پیادے چڑھا ﻻ[2] اور ان کے مال اور اوﻻد میں سے اپنا بھی ساجھا لگا[3] اور انہیں (جھوٹے) وعدے دے لے[4]۔ ان سے جتنے بھی وعدے شیطان کے ہوتے ہیں سب کے سب سراسر فریب ہیں.[5]

And (it was a warning) when we told thee: Lo! thy Lord encompasseth mankind, and We appointed the sight which We showed thee as an ordeal for mankind, and (likewise) the Accursed Tree in the Qur'an. We warn them, but it increaseth them in naught save gross impiety
And when we said to thee, 'Verily, thy Lord encompasses men!' and we made the vision which we showed thee only a cause of sedition unto men, and the cursed tree as well; for we will frighten them, but it will only increase them in great rebellion
And remember when we said to thee, Verily, thy Lord is round about mankind; we ordained the vision which we shewed thee, and likewise the cursed tree of the Koran, only for men to dispute of; we will strike them with terror; but it shall only increase in them enormous wickedness
Remember when We said unto thee, verily thy Lord encompasseth men by his knowledge and power. We have appointed the vision which We shewed thee, and also the tree cursed in the Koran, only for an occasion of dispute unto men, and to strike them with terror; but it shall cause them to transgress only the more enormously

And when We said unto the angels: Fall down prostrate before Adam and they fell prostrate all save Iblis, he said: Shall I fall prostrate before that which Thou hast created of clay
And when we said to the angels, ' Adore Adam;' and they adored, save Iblis, who said, ' Am I to adore one whom Thou hast created out of clay
And when we said to the Angels, "Prostrate yourselves before Adam:" and they all prostrated them, save Eblis. "What!" said he, "shall I bow me before him whom thou hast created of clay

DIN 31635ʾinna ʿibādī laysa laka ʿalayhim sulṭānun wakafā birabbika wakīlan
"As for My devotees, you have no authority over them." Your Lord is an adequate Guardian.
Lo! My (faithful) bondmen - over them thou hast no power, and thy Lord sufficeth as (their) guardian
Verily, my servants, thou hast no authority over them; thy Lord is guardian enough over them
As to my servants, no power over them shalt thou have; And thy Lord will be their sufficient guardian
As to my servants, thou shalt have no power over them; for thy Lord is a sufficient protector of those who trust in Him

(O mankind), your Lord is He Who driveth for you the ship upon the sea that ye may seek of His bounty. Lo! He was ever Merciful toward you
It is your Lord who drives the ships for you in the sea that ye may seek after plenty from Him; verily, He is ever merciful to you
It is your Lord who speedeth onward the ships for you in the sea, that ye may seek of his abundance; for he is merciful towards you

4:119 dhe me siguri do t'i shpie në humbje, do t'i josh me shpresa të kota, do t'i urdhëroj që t'ua presin veshët bagëtive dhe do t'i urdhëroj që të ndryshojnë krijesën e Allahut." E kush merr shejtanin për mbrojtës në vend të Allahut, me të vërtetë ka pësuar humbje të qartë.
4:120 Ai u premton atyre dhe i josh me shpresa (të kota), por premtimet që i bën shejtani janë vetëm mashtrime.
4:119 আর আমি অবশ্যই তাদেরকে পথভ্রষ্ট করবো; মিথ্যা আশ্বাস দিবো (৪৭), আর অবশ্যই আমি তাদেরকে আদেশ করবো, ফলে তারা পশুর কান ছিদ্র করবে। আর অবশ্যই তাদেরকে নির্দেশ দিবো, ফলে তারা আল্লাহর সৃষ্টি বিকৃত করবে।’ আর যে ব্যক্তি আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে শয়তানকে অভিভাবকরূপে গ্রহণ করবে, সে স্পষ্টতই ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়ে যাবে।
4:120 সে তাদেরকে প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয় এবং তাদেরকে মিথ্যা আশ্বাস দেয়। আর শয়তান তাদেরকে কেবল প্রতারণামূলক প্রতিশ্রুতিই দেয়।
4:119 I sigurno ću ih navoditi u zabludu, i sigurno ih lažnim nadama mamiti, i zapovjedit ću im, sigurno, da uši stoci režu, i sigurno ću im narediti da Allahovo stvaranje preinačavaju!" A ko šejtana, umjesto Allaha, za zaštitnika prihvati, on je na gubitku očitom.
4:120 On im obećanja daje i lažnim nadama ih mami. A ono što im šejtan obećava samo je obmana.

4:119 და უეჭველად შევიყვან მათ შეცდომაში, და აუცილებლად აღვუძრავ მათ (ცრუ) ოცნებებს, და აუცილებლად ვუბრძანებ მათ, რომ პირუტყვს ყურები გადაუჭრან [რათა ამით მონიშნონ ის ცხოველები, რომლებიც თავიანთ კერპებს მიუძღვნეს], და უეჭველად ვუბრძანებ მათ, რომ შეცვალონ ალლაჰის ქმნილება!» და ვინც სატანას აირჩევს მფარველად ალლაჰის გარდა, მან აშკარა ზარალი განიცადა.
4:120 იგი [სატანა] ჰპირდება მათ, და აღვიძებს მათში (ცრუ) ოცნებებს. მაგრამ სატანა მათ მხოლოდ მოტყუებას ჰპირდება.

4:120 Er macht ihnen (zwar) Versprechungen und erweckt in ihnen Wünsche; aber was ihnen der Satan verspricht, sind nur trügerische Versprechungen.
4:119 Και θα τους παραπλανήσω, θα τους διεγείρω (ψεύτικες και παραπλανητικές) επιθυμίες (που θα τους οδηγούν μακριά από την υπακοή προς Εσένα), θα τους διατάξω να κόψουν (και να σχίσουν) τα αυτιά των βοοειδών και θα τους διατάξω να αλλάξουν τη δημιουργία του Αλλάχ (να αλλάξουν τη θρησκεία του Αλλάχ και τις μορφές και τις εμφανίσεις των δημιουργημάτων Του).» Όποιος παίρνει τον Σατανά ως κηδεμόνα αντί του Αλλάχ, πράγματι, έχει υποστεί μια φανερή απώλεια.

4:120 वह (शैतान) उनसे वादे करता है और उन्हें आशाएँ दिलाता है। (परंतु) शैतान उनसे जो वादे करता है, वे धोखे के सिवा कुछ नहीं हैं।

Iš tiesų, aš paklaidinsiu juos ir tikrai sužadinsiu juose klaidingus troškimus, ir tikrai, liepsiu jiems prarėžti galvijų ausis, ir tikrai, liepsiu jiems pakeisti Allaho sukurtą gamtą.“ Ir kas laiko Šaitan (Šėtoną) Vali (globėju arba padėjėju) vietoje Allaho, tikrai patyrė aiškų nuostolį.

4:119 и я непременно введу их в заблуждение, внушу им ложные надежды, непременно прикажу им обрезать уши у скота и прикажу им изменять творение Аллаха!» А кто берёт шайтана себе покровителем вместо Аллаха, тот уже потерпел явный убыток.
4:120 [Шайтан] обещает им и внушает им ложные надежды, но шайтан обещает им не что иное, как обольщение.
4:119 И сигурно ћу да их наводим у заблуду, и сигурно ћу лажним надама да их мамим, и заповедићу им сигурно да уши стоци режу, и сигурно ћу да им наредим да Аллахова створења мењају!“ А ко Сотону, уместо Аллаха, прихвати за заштитника, он је на очигледном губитку.
4:120 Он им празна обећања даје и лажним надама их мами. А оно што им Сотона обећава само је обмана.
4:119 Na hakika nitawapoteza, na nitawatia matamanio, na nitawaamrisha, basi hakika watakata masikio ya wanyama, na nitawaamrisha, basi hakika watabadili aliyoumba Mwenyezi Mungu. Na mwenye kumfanya Shetani kuwa ni rafiki mwandani badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu, basi hakika amehasiri hasara ya dhahiri.
4:120 Anawaahidi, na anawatia tamaa. Na Shetani hawaahidi isipokuwa udanganyifu.

4:119 اور انہیں راه سے بہکاتا رہوں گا اور باطل امیدیں دﻻتا رہوں گا[1] اور انہیں سکھاؤں گا کہ جانوروں کی کان چیر دیں[2]، اور ان سے کہوں گا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی بنائی ہوئی صورت کو بگاڑ دیں[3]، سنو! جو شخص اللہ کو چھوڑ کرشیطان کو اپنا رفیق بنائے گا وه صریح نقصان میں ڈوبے گا۔
4:120 وه ان سے زبانی وعدے کرتا رہے گا، اور سبز باغ دکھاتا رہے گا، (مگر یاد رکھو!) شیطان کے جو وعدے ان سے ہیں وه سراسر فریب کاریاں ہیں۔

But as for those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will admit them into gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they will abide forever. The promise of God is true-and who is more truthful in speech than God?
But as for those who believe and do good works We shall bring them into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever. It is a promise from Allah in truth; and who can be more truthful than Allah in utterance
But those who believe, and do what is right, we will make them enter into gardens beneath which rivers flow, to dwell therein for aye,- God's promise in truth; and who is truer than God in speech
But they who believe and do the things that are right, we will bring them into gardens beneath which the rivers flow; For ever shall they abide therein. Truly it is the promise of God: And whose word is more sure than God's
But they who believe, and do good works, We will surely lead them into gardens, through which rivers flow, they shall continue therein for ever, according to the true promise of God; and who is more true than God in what He saith

And Satan will say, when the issue is settled, "God has promised you the promise of truth, and I promised you, but I failed you. I had no authority over you, except that I called you, and you answered me. So do not blame me, but blame yourselves. I cannot come to your aid, nor can you come to my aid. I reject your associating with me in the past. The wrongdoers will have a torment most painful."

And Satan shall say, after judgment shall have been given, verily God promised you a promise of truth: And I also made you a promise; but I deceived you. Yet I had not any power over you to compel you; but I called you only, and ye answered me: Wherefore accuse not me, but accuse your selves. I cannot assist you; neither can ye assist me. Verily I do now renounce your having associated me with God heretofore. A grievous punishment is prepared for the unjust

Kur çështja mori fund, shejtani tha: "Vërtet Allahu ju bëri premtim të vërtetë, ndërsa unë ju premtova e ju mashtrova, por unë nuk pata pushtet mbi ju, vetëm se ju thirra dhe ju m'u përgjigjët. Prandaj, mos më qortoni mua, por qortoni vetveten! Unë s'mund t'ju ndihmoj juve e as ju s'mund të më ndihmoni mua." Unë e mohoj adhurimin që ma bëtë më parë krahas Allahut. Sigurisht që për zullumqarët do të ketë dënim të dhembshëm.
আর যখন বিচারের কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়ে যাবে (জান্নাতীরা জান্নাতে এবং জাহান্নামীরা জাহান্নামে প্রবেশ করবে), তখন শয়তান বলবে: ‘নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তো তোমাদেরকে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলেন সত্য প্রতিশ্রুতি, আর আমিও তোমাদেরকে (এটা-সেটা) প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলাম, কিন্তু এখন আমি তা ভঙ্গ করলাম। তোমাদের ওপর আমার কোনো আধিপত্য ছিল না। আমি তোমাদেরকে দা‘ওয়াত দিয়েছি, আর তোমরা আমার দা‘ওয়াতে (নিজে থেকেই) সাড়া দিয়েছ। সুতরাং তোমরা আমাকে ভর্ৎসনা করো না; বরং নিজেদেরকেই ভর্ৎসনা করো। আমি তোমাদের উদ্ধারকারী নই, আর তোমরাও আমার উদ্ধারকারী নও। ইতঃপূর্বে তোমরা আমাকে যার (আল্লাহর) সাথে শরীক করেছ, নিশ্চয় আমি তা অস্বীকার করছি। নিশ্চয় যালিমদের জন্য রয়েছে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি।’
I kada bude sve riješeno, šejtan će reći: "Allah vam je istinsko obećanje dao, a ja sam vam obećavao i svoja obećanja iznevjerio; ali, ja nisam nikakvu vlast nad vama imao, samo sam vas pozivao i vi ste mi se odazivali; zato ne korite mene, već sami sebe; niti ja mogu vama pomoći, niti vi možete pomoći meni. Ja nemam ništa s tim što ste me prije Njemu u obožavanju pridruživali. One koji su nepravedni sigurno čeka bolna patnja."

Seytaane wi'a, tuma fiyaaku on ñaawaa: "Pellet Alla fodiino on fodoore goonga; mi podanli on mi lunndii on. Alanaa kam e mo'on immorde e hujja, si wanaa mi nodii on, on njaabike kam. Wata on felam; pelee ko'e mon. Wanaa mi faabotooɗo on; ngoanaa on faabotooɓe kam. Mi yeddii ko kafidunoɗon mi kon [e Alla] ado (hannde)". Pellet, tooñooɓe ɓeen, hino woodani ɓe lepte muusɗe.
და თქვა სატანამ, როდესაც საქმე გადაწყდა[1]: «ჭეშმარიტად, ალლაჰმა მოგცათ ჭეშმარიტი აღთქმა (რომ იქნება აღდგომა და საზღაური), მე კი მოგეცით აღთქმა (რომ არაფერი იქნება ასეთი), მაგრამ მე მოგატყუეთ [თქვენთვის ცრუ აღთქმა გავეცი]. და არ მქონდა ძალა თქვენზე, გარდა იმისა, რომ მოგატყუეთ. და მე არ მქონდა თქვენზე ძალაუფლება, გარდა იმისა, რომ მე მოგიხმეთ (ურწმუნოებასა და გზასცდენილებაში), და თქვენც შემომიერთდით. ამიტომ, ნუ დამადანაშაულებთ, არამედ დაადანაშაულეთ საკუთარი თავი (თქვენი ცოდვების გამო). მე ვერ დაგეხმარებით (ალლაჰის სასჯელისგან თავის დაღწევაში), თქვენც ვერ დამეხმარებით. ჭეშმარიტად, უარვყოფ იმას, რასაც [ამქვეყნად] თანაზიარად (ალლაჰთან) გამხადეთ. ჭეშმარიტად, უსამართლოები ისინი არიან, რომლებსაც ელით მტკივნეული სასჯელი!».
Und der Satan sagt, nachdem die Angelegenheit entschieden ist: „Wahrlich, Allah hat euch ein wahres Versprechen gegeben, und ich habe euch (etwas) versprochen, es aber dann gebrochen. Und ich hatte (ja) keine Macht über euch, außer dass ich euch gerufen habe und ihr mir hierauf Folge geleistet habt. So tadelt mich nicht, sondern tadelt euch selbst. Ich kann euch nicht zu Hilfe kommen, und ihr könnt mir nicht zu Hilfe kommen. Ich sage mich los, dass ihr mich zuvor (Allah) beigesellt habt. Wahrlich, für die Ungerechten gibt es schmerzhafte Strafe.“
Κι όταν θα τελειώσει το θέμα (με το να μπουν οι πιστοί στον Παράδεισο και οι άπιστοι στη Φωτιά), ο Σατανάς θα πει: «Πράγματι, ο Αλλάχ σας είχε υποσχεθεί την αληθινή υπόσχεση, ενώ εγώ σας είχα υποσχεθεί, αλλά αθέτησα την υπόσχεσή μου σε σας. Δεν είχα καμιά εξουσία (ή δύναμη) πάνω σας, εκτός του ότι σας κάλεσα, κι εσείς με ακολουθήσατε. Οπότε μη με κατηγορείτε, αλλά κατηγορείστε τον εαυτό σας. Ούτε θα σας σώσω, ούτε θα με σώσετε. और जब निर्णय कर दिया[8] जाएगा, तो शैतान कहेगा : निःसंदेह अल्लाह ने तुमसे सच्चा वादा किया था। और मैंने (भी) तुमसे वादा किया था, तो मैंने तुमसे वादाखिलाफ़ी की। और मेरा तुमपर कोई आधिपत्य नहीं था, सिवाय इसके कि मैंने तुम्हें (अपनी ओर) बुलाया, तो तुमने मेरी बात मान ली। अब मेरी निंदा न करो, बल्कि स्वयं अपनी निंदा करो। न मैं तुम्हारी फ़रयाद सुन सकता हूँ और न तुम मेरी फ़रयाद सुन सकते हो। निःसंदेह मैं उसका इनकार करता हूँ, जो तुमने इससे पहले[9] मुझे साझी बनाया। निश्चय अत्याचारियों के लिए दर्दनाक यातना है।
E disse Satana quando si avverò la condanna: «In verità Allāh vi ha fatto una promessa vera, e io vi ho fatto una promessa e l’ho mancata, perché non ho su di voi nessuna autorità, se non la tentazione, e voi mi avete risposto: non incolpatemi, ma incolpate voi stessi; io non posso darvi nessun aiuto, e voi non potete aiutarmi. In verità rinnego ciò a cui mi avete associato in precedenza: in verità per gli ingiusti c’è una dura punizione!”
22. Ir Šaitan (Šėtonas) sakys, kai reikalas buvo nuspręstas: „Iš tiesų, Allahas pažadėjo jums teisingą pažadą. Ir aš jums pažadėjau, bet aš išdaviau jus. Neturiu aš jums jokios valdžios, išskyrus tai, kad kviečiau jus, ir jūs man atsakėte. Taigi, nekaltinkite manęs, bet kaltinkite patys save. Aš negaliu padėti jums, nei jūs galite padėti man. yeree amriin raawwatamu sheyxaanni ni jedhe: “Rabbiin waadaa dhugaa isiniif seene (waan waadaa seene isiniif guute); anis waadaa isiniif seenee isin gane. isin irratti anaaf aangoon tokkollee hin taane. Isin waamnaanuma naaf owwaattan malee. anan komatinaa, lubbuulee teessan komadhaa malee. Ani isiniif birmataa miti; isiniis naaf birmatoo miti. Ani waan isin duraan (Rabbitti) na qindeessitan waakkadhe” Dhugumatti, miidhaa raawwattoonni adabbii laalessaatu isaaniif jira. [6]

И не было у меня над вами никакой власти, — я лишь призвал вас, и вы откликнулись мне. Так не упрекайте меня, а упрекайте самих себя. Я не буду вашим спасителем, а вы не будете моим. Воистину, я отвергаю то, в чём вы прежде делали меня сотоварищем [Аллаху]». Воистину, несправедливые — для них мучительное наказание.
И када буде све решено, ђаво ће да каже: „Аллах вам је истинско обећање дао, а ја сам вам обећавао и своја обећања изневерио; али, ја нисам никаквог доказа над вама имао, само сам вас позивао и ви сте ми се одазивали; зато не корите мене, већ сами себе; нити ја могу вама да помогнем, нити ви можете да помогнете мени. Ја немам ништа са тим што сте ме, поред Њега, обожавали. Незнанобошце сигурно чека болна патња.“
Na shetani atasema itakapokatwa hukumu: Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu aliwaahidi ahadi ya kweli. Nami niliwaahidi; lakini sikuwatimizia ahadi yangu. Na sikuwa na mamlaka yoyote juu yenu, isipokuwa niliwaita, nanyi mkaniitikia. Basi msinilaumu mimi, bali jilaumuni wenyewe. Mimi siwezi kuwa mtetezi wenu, wala nyinyi hamuwezi kuwa watetezi wangu. Hakika mimi nilikufuru tangu zamani huko kunishirikisha kwenu na Mwenyezi Mungu. Hakika madhalimu wana adhabu chungu.
När domen fallit kommer Satan att säga: ”Gud gav er ett sant löfte, medan jag gav er ett löfte som jag sedan svek. Jag hade aldrig någon makt över er, utan kunde bara kalla er [till min väg], och ni besvarade min kallelse. Klandra därför inte mig, utan klandra er själva! جب اور کام کا فیصلہ کردیا جائے گا تو شیطان[1] کہے گا کہ اللہ نے تو تمہیں سچا وعده دیا تھا اور میں نے تم سے جو وعدے کیے تھے ان کے خلاف کیا[2]، میرا تم پر کوئی دباؤ تو تھا ہی نہیں[3]، ہاں میں نے تمہیں پکارا اور تم نے میری مان لی[4]، پس تم مجھے الزام نہ لگاؤ بلکہ خود اپنے آپ کو ملامت کرو[5]، نہ میں تمہارا فریاد رس اور نہ تم میری فریاد کو پہنچنے والے[6]، میں تو سرے سے مانتا ہی نہیں کہ تم مجھے اس سے پہلے اللہ کا شریک مانتے رہے[7]، یقیناً ﻇالموں کے لیے دردناک عذاب ہے.[8]

They will emerge before God, altogether. The weak will say to those who were proud, "We were your followers, can you protect us at all against God's punishment?" They will say, "Had God guided us, we would have guided you. It is the same for us; whether we mourn, or are patient; there is no asylum for us."
They all come forth unto their Lord. Then those who were despised say unto those who were scornful: We were unto you a following, can ye then avert from us aught of Allah's doom? They say: Had Allah guided us, we should have guided you. Whether we rage or patiently endure is (now) all one for us; we have no place of refuge
They all come out to God; and the weak say to those who were big with pride, 'We were followers of yours, can ye now avail us aught against God's torment?' They say, 'If God had guided us we would have guided you. It is the same to us if we are agonized or if we are penitent, we have no escape
All mankind shall come forth before God; and the weak shall say to the men of might, "Verily, we were your followers: will ye not then relieve us of some part of the vengeance of God?" They shall say, "If God had guided us, we surely had guided you. It is now all one whether we be impatient, or endure with patience. We have no escape
And they shall all come forth into the presence of God at the last day: And the weak among them shall say unto those who behaved themselves arrogantly, verily we were your followers on earth; will ye not therefore avert from us some part of the divine vengeance? They shall answer, if God had directed us aright, we had certainly directed you. It is equal unto us whether we bear our torments impatiently, or whether we endure them with patience: For we have no way to escape

Read across the four public-domain translations - Sale 1734, Rodwell 1861, Palmer 1880, Pickthall 1930 - of 7:16-17, 17:62-64, 38:82-83, 4:119-120, 14:22, in full, and nothing else. This study consults no , no , no occasion of revelation and no biography, because none is yet available in an edition whose usage rights can be verified. Itani 2012, the fifth translation shown with these verses, was not consulted for this study.
How this set was arrived at. The verses were found by a word search of the four public-domain translations, using terms chosen by the editor and listed here as they were searched - i + shall + lie + in + wait + for + them + on + thy + straight + path; i + verily + will + seize + his + seed; by + thy + might + i + surely + will + beguile + them + every + one; i + will + surely + lead + them + astray. The search was a way of finding passages, not a judgement about what they mean: that several translators chose the same English word is not evidence about the Arabic. A different choice of terms gives a different set.
