- 01 15:26–29 All five print the making of man from clay; Palmer has "black mull" and Rodwell has "dark loam" where Itani, Pickthall and Sale have mud. Itani has "from clay, from molded mud", and Sale has "of dried clay, of black mud". At 15:29 Itani has "breathed into him of My spirit", and the angels are told to fall down before him.
- 02 3:59 This is the verse in the set that names Adam with his making. Pickthall has "the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam", and Rodwell has "He created him of dust".
- 03 4:1 Itani has "created you from a single soul, and created from it its mate", and Sale has "created you out of one man". Itani then has "many men and women" spread from the two.
- 04 18:37 This is the only line where the probe for the word family of 'evolve' finds anything. Itani has "then evolved you into a man", and Pickthall has "then fashioned thee a man". The sentence is about one man made from dust and then a drop.
- 05 23:12–14 All five print a sequence for man that passes through bones clothed with flesh, in different words: at 23:12 Pickthall has "wet earth" where the other four have clay, at 23:13 Pickthall has "a drop" where Rodwell has "a moist germ" and Palmer "a clot", and at 23:14 Itani has "a lump" where Palmer has "a morsel" and Rodwell "a piece of flesh". Itani has "Then We produced it into another creature", and Pickthall has "produced it as another creation".
- 06 32:7–9 Pickthall has "He began the creation of man from clay", then "a draught of despised fluid". Sale has "first created man of clay".
- 07 71:14 Itani has "He created you in stages", Palmer has "created you by steps", and Sale has "created you variously". None of the five says what the stages are.
In plain wordsEditorial written by the editors, not a translation
The five renderings print several accounts of how man was made. At 15:26 and 15:28 man is made from clay and mud, and at 15:29 God breathes into him of His spirit. At 32:7 Pickthall has "He began the creation of man from clay", and at 32:8 Pickthall has "a draught of despised fluid".
At 23:12-14 the five print a sequence in different words: clay, where Pickthall has "wet earth"; then, in a safe place, what Pickthall calls "a drop", Rodwell "a moist germ" and Palmer "a clot"; then stages named differently, such as Itani's "a lump" and Palmer's "a morsel"; then bones clothed with flesh, and what Pickthall calls "another creation". At 71:14 Itani has "He created you in stages" and Palmer has "created you by steps". None of the five says what those stages are.
On Adam, 3:59 names him and prints that he was created from dust and then told to be. At 4:1 Pickthall prints that people come from "a single soul" and its mate. The words 'first man' and 'first human' are printed in none of the five (probe count 0).
The word 'evolution' is printed in none of the five. The probe 'evolution|evolve|evolved|evolving' finds one line: at 18:37 Itani has "evolved you into a man", where the other four print 'fashioned'. That verse is about one man's making from dust and a drop. The probes 'evolution|evolve|evolved|evolving' and 'species' return 9 lines between them, and none of those lines says that one kind of living thing came from another, or that it did not.
So the text neither affirms nor denies evolution in those words. It prints making from clay, a sequence of forms, and stages. Whether these agree or conflict with a science is a comparison outside these five renderings, and this study does not make it.

15:26 Und Wir haben ja den Menschen aus trockenem Ton, aus fauligem schwarzen Schlamm erschaffen.
15:27 Und die Jinn haben Wir zuvor aus dem Feuer des Glutwindes erschaffen.
15:28 Und (gedenke,) als dein Herr zu den Engeln sagte: „Wahrlich, Ich bin dabei, ein menschliches Wesen aus trockenem Ton, aus fauligem schwarzen Schlamm zu erschaffen.
15:29 Wenn Ich es dann zurechtgeformt und ihm von Meinem Geist eingehaucht habe, dann geht vor ihm niederwerfend runter."

15:26 और निःसंदेह हमने मनुष्य को सड़े हुए गारे की खनखनाती हुई मिट्टी से बनाया है।
15:27 और इससे पहले जिन्नों को हमने धुँआ रहित अति गर्म आग से पैदा किया।
15:28 और (याद करो) जब आपके पालनहार ने फ़रिश्तों से कहा : मैं सड़े हुए गारे की खनखनाती मिट्टी से एक मनुष्य पैदा करने वाला हूँ।

Wahrlich, das Gleichnis 'Isas ist bei Allah wie das Gleichnis Adams. Er erschuf ihn aus Erde, hierauf sagte Er zu ihm: „Sei!“ und da war er.
Στ’ αλήθεια, το παράδειγμα (της δημιουργίας) του Ιησού ενώπιον του Αλλάχ είναι όπως εκείνο του Αδάμ. Τον δημιούργησε από χώμα (χωρίς πατέρα ούτε μητέρα), έπειτα του είπε: «Γενηθήτω.», και έτσι αυτός έγινε.
निःसंदेह ईसा का उदाहरण अल्लाह के निकट आदम के उदाहरण की तरह[25] है कि उसे थोड़ी-सी मिट्टी से बनाया, फिर उसे कहा : "हो जा", तो वह हो जाता है।
In verità l`esempio di ‘Īsa da Allāh è come l`esempio di Ǣdem ( آدَم ): lo creò dalla terra e gli disse: “Sii”, e lui fu! ﴾Kun Fa yakūn﴿
59. Iš tiesų, Isa (Jėzus) priešais Allahą panašus į Adamą (Adomą). Jis sukūrė šį iš dulkių, tada (Jis) tarė jam: „Būk!“ - ir jis buvo.

But as to those who believe, and do the things that are right, He will pay them their recompense. God loveth not the doers of evil
But they who believe, and do that which is right, he shall give them their reward; for God loveth not the wicked doers

And whoso disputeth with thee concerning him, after the knowledge which hath come unto thee, say (unto him): Come! We will summon our sons and your sons, and our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves, then we will pray humbly (to our Lord) and (solemnly) invoke the curse of Allah upon those who lie
And whoso disputeth with thee after what has come to thee of knowledge, say, 'Come, let us call our sons and your sons, and our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves: then we will imprecate and put God's curse on those who lie
As for those who dispute with thee about Him, after "theknowledge" hath come to thee, SAY: Come, let us summon our sons and your sons, our wives and your wives, and ourselves and yourselves. Then will we invoke and lay the malison of God on those that lie
And whoever shall dispute with thee concerning him, after the knowledge which hath been given thee, say unto them, come, let us call together our sons, and your sons, and our wives, and your wives, and our selves, and your selves; then let us make imprecations, and lay the curse of God on those who lie

O people! Fear your Lord, who created you from a single soul, and created from it its mate, and propagated from them many men and women. And revere God whom you ask about, and the parents. Surely, God is Watchful over you.

O njerëz! Kijeni frikë Zotin tuaj, i Cili ju krijoi prej një njeriu të vetëm dhe prej tij krijoi bashkëshorten e tij dhe nga ata të dy nxori shumë burra e gra. Kijeni frikë Allahun me emrin e të Cilit përbetoheni dhe ruajini lidhjet farefisnore. Me të vërtetë, Allahu është Mbikëqyrësi juaj.
হে মানুষেরা! তোমরা তোমাদের রবকে ভয় করো, যিনি তোমাদেরকে এক ব্যক্তি (আদম) থেকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন ও তার থেকেই তার স্ত্রী (হাওয়া)কে সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং তাদের দুজন থেকে অসংখ্য নর-নারী (সৃষ্টি করে পৃথিবীতে) ছড়িয়ে দিয়েছেন। আর তোমরা আল্লাহর তাকওয়া অবলম্বন করো যাঁর দোহাই দিয়ে তোমরা একে অপরের কাছে নিজ নিজ অধিকার দাবী করো এবং আত্মীয়তার বন্ধন ছিন্ন করা থেকে দূরে থাকো। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তোমাদের উপর পর্যবেক্ষক।
O ljudi, bojte se Gospodara svoga, Koji vas je stvorio od jedne osobe, od koje je njen par stvorio, a od njih dvoje mnoge muškarce i žene rasijao. Bojte se Allaha, čijim imenom jedni druge molite, i čuvajte rodbinske veze. Allah vas, doista, nadzire.
O ljudi, bojte se Gospodara svoga, Koji vas je stvorio od jedne osobe, od koje je njen par stvorio, a od njih dvoje mnoge muškarce i žene rasijao. Bojte se Allaha, čijim imenom jedni druge molite, i čuvajte rodbinske veze. Allah vas, doista, nadzire.

ჰეი, ადამიანებო! ერიდეთ (სასჯელს) თქვენი უფლისას, რომელმაც შეგქმნათ თქვენ ერთი ადამიანისგან [ადამისგან], და შექმნა მისგან მისი წყვილი [ჰავა], და ამ ორისგან გაავრცელა (დედამიწაზე) მრავალი კაცი და ქალი. და ერიდეთ (სასჯელის) ალლაჰის, რომლის სახელითაც ერთმანეთს ევედრებით, და (ერიდეთ) ნათესაური კავშირების გაწყვეტას. ჭეშმარიტად, ალლაჰი თქვენზე მეთვალყურეა!
O ihr Menschen, fürchtet euren Herrn, Der euch aus einem einzigen Wesen erschuf, und aus ihm erschuf Er seine Gattin und ließ aus beiden viele Männer und Frauen sich ausbreiten. Und fürchtet Allah, in Dessen (Namen) ihr einander bittet, und die Verwandtschaftsbande. Wahrlich, Allah wacht über euch.
Ω, άνθρωποι! Φυλαχθείτε από την τιμωρία του Κυρίου σας (μέσω της τήρησης των εντολών Tου), ο Οποίος σας έπλασε από ένα άτομο (τον Αδάμ), και απ' αυτόν (τον Αδάμ) έπλασε τη σύζυγό του (την Εύα), και απ' αυτούς τους δύο έπλασε πολλούς άνδρες και γυναίκες. Έτσι, φυλαχθείτε από την τιμωρία του Αλλάχ, στο Όνομα (χάρη) του Οποίου ζητάτε ο ένας (κάτι) από τον άλλο (λέγοντας για χάρη του Αλλάχ να κάνεις αυτό) και μην διακόπτετε τους συγγενικούς δεσμούς. Στ’ αλήθεια, ο Αλλάχ είναι Παρατηρητής πάνω σας.
ऐ लोगो! अपने[1] उस पालनहार से डरो, जिसने तुम्हें एक जीव (आदम) से पैदा किया तथा उसी से उसके जोड़े (हव्वा) को पैदा किया और उन दोनों से बहुत-से नर-नारी फैला दिए। उस अल्लाह से डरो, जिसके माध्यम से तुम एक-दूसरे से माँगते हो, तथा रिश्ते-नाते को तोड़ने से डरो। निःसंदेह अल्लाह तुम्हारा निरीक्षक है।
O uomini, temete il vostro Dio, che vi ha creati da una sola anima e da essa estrasse la sua compagna, e da entrambe diffuse una moltitudine di maschi e femmine[37]. E temete Allāh, il cui nome vi invocate a vicenda, e osservate i legami di sangue: in verità Allāh è vostro Vigilante!
1. Žmonės, būkite paklusnūs savo Viešpačiui, Kuris sukūrė jus iš vienintelio žmogaus (Adamo (Adomo)), ir iš jo Jis sukūrė jo žmoną [Hauva (Ievą)], ir iš jų abiejų Jis sukūrė daugybę vyrų ir moterų. Ir bijokite Allaho, per Kurį jūs reikalaujate (savo abipusių teisių), ir (nenutraukite santykių su) įsčiomis (giminystės). Iš tiesų, Allahas yra jūsų Stebėtojas.
isin yaa ilmaan namaa! Gooftaa keessan sodaadhaa, Isa lubbuu takka (Aadam) irraa isin uumee, ishee irraa cimdii ishee (Hawwaa) uumee, isaan lamaan irraa dhiirotaafi dubartoota baay’ee tamsaase. Rabbii isa ittiin wal kadhattaniifi firummaa (muruu) sodaadhaa. Rabbiin isin to’ataadha. [1]
О люди! Бойтесь вашего Господа, Который сотворил вас из одной души, и сотворил из неё её пару, и из них обоих распространил множество мужчин и женщин. И бойтесь Аллаха, [именем] Которого вы просите друг друга, и [остерегайтесь разрыва] родственных уз. Воистину, Аллах всегда был и [пребудет][29] над вами наблюдающим.
О људи, бојте се Господара свога, Који вас је створио од једне особе (Адама), и од те особе пар створио, а од њих двоје многе мушкарце и жене расејао. Бојте се Аллаха, чијим именом једни друге молите, и чувајте родбинске везе. Аллах вас, заиста, надзире.
Enyi watu! Mcheni Mola wenu Mlezi ambaye aliwaumba kutokana na nafsi moja, na akamuumba mkewe kutoka kwayo. Na akaeneza kutokana na wawili hao wanaume wengi na wanawake. Na mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu ambaye kwaye mnaomba, na jamaa zenu. Hakika, Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kuwaangalia.
Människor! Frukta er Herre, som skapade er från en enda varelse och som av den skapade dess make, och som från dessa lät män och kvinnor sprida sig i stort antal. Frukta Gud, i vars namn ni vädjar till varandra [om hjälp], och värna släktskapsbanden. Gud vakar ständigt över er.
Ey insanlar! Sizi bir tek nefisten yaratan ve ondan da eşini yaratan; ikisinden birçok erkek ve kadın (meydana getirip) yayan Rabbinize karşı gelmekten sakının. DIN 31635waʾātū l-yatāmā ʾamwālahum walā tatabaddalū l-ḫabīṯa biṭ-ṭayyibi walā taʾkulū ʾamwālahum ʾilā ʾamwālikum ʾinnahu kāna ḥūban kabīran
And give orphans their properties, and do not substitute the bad for the good. And do not consume their properties by combining them with yours, for that would be a serious sin.
Give unto orphans their wealth. Exchange not the good for the bad (in your management thereof) nor absorb their wealth into your own wealth. Lo! that would be a great sin
And give unto the orphans their property, and give them not the vile in exchange for the good, and devour not their property to your own property; verily, that were a great sin
And give to the orphans their property; substitute not worthless things of your own for their valuable ones, and devour not their property after adding it to your own; for this is a great crime
And give the orphans when they come to age their substance; and render them not in exchange bad for good: And devour not their substance, by adding it to your own substance; for this is a great sin
وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تُقْسِطُوا۟ فِى ٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ فَٱنكِحُوا۟ مَا طَابَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ مَثْنَىٰ وَثُلَٰثَ وَرُبَٰعَ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا۟ فَوَٰحِدَةً أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰٓ أَلَّا تَعُولُوا۟

The translators word this verse differently
If you fear you cannot act fairly towards the orphans-then marry the women you like-two, or three, or four. But if you fear you will not be fair, then one, or what you already have. That makes it more likely that you avoid bias.
And if ye fear that ye will not deal fairly by the orphans, marry of the women, who seem good to you, two or three or four; and if ye fear that ye cannot do justice (to so many) then one (only) or (the captives) that your right hands possess. Thus it is more likely that ye will not do injustice
But if ye fear that ye cannot do justice between orphans, then marry what seems good to you of women, by twos, or threes, or fours; and if ye fear that ye cannot be equitable, then only one, or what your right hands possess. That keeps you nearer to not being partial
And if ye are apprehensive that ye shall not deal fairly with orphans, then, of other women who seem good in your eyes, marry but two, or three, or four; and if ye still fear that ye shall not act equitably, then one only; or the slaves whom ye have acquired: this will make justice on your part easier
And if ye fear that ye shall not act with equity towards orphans of the female sex, take in marriage of such other women as please you, two, or three, or four, and not more. But if ye fear that ye cannot act equitably towards so many, marry one only, or the slaves which ye shall have acquired. This will be easier, that ye swerve not from righteousness

Sein Gefährte sagte zu ihm, während er sich mit ihm unterhielt: „Bist du denn Demjenigen gegenüber ungläubig, Der dich aus Erde, hierauf aus einem Samentropfen erschaffen und hierauf dich zu einem Mann geformt hat?
Ο (πιστός) σύντροφός του του είπε καθώς συνομιλούσε μαζί του: «Αρνείσαι την πίστη σ' Αυτόν που σε δημιούργησε (δηλ. δημιούργησε τον Αδάμ) από χώμα, έπειτα (δημιούργησε τους απογόνους του) από Νούτφα (σταγόνες από αναμεμειγμένες εκκρίσεις των δύο φυλλών), και έπειτα σε διαμόρφωσε έναν άντρα;

And he entered his garden, wronging himself. He said, "I do not think this will ever perish."
And he went into his garden, while he (thus) wronged himself. He said: I think not that all this will ever perish
And he went in unto his garden, having wronged himself: said he, 'I do not think that this will ever disappear
And he went into his garden - to his own soul unjust. He said, "I do not think that this will ever perish
And he went into his garden, being guilty of injustice against his own soul, and said, I do not think that this garden will decay for ever
وَمَآ أَظُنُّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ قَآئِمَةً وَلَئِن رُّدِدتُّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى لَأَجِدَنَّ خَيْرًا مِّنْهَا مُنقَلَبًا

and I do not think that the hour is imminent; and if even I be sent back unto my Lord, I shall find a better one than it in exchange
And I do not think that 'the Hour' will come: and even if I be taken back to my Lord, I shall surely find a better than it in exchange
neither do I think that the last hour will come: And although I should return unto my Lord, verily I shall find a better garden than this in exchange

When you entered your garden, why did you not say, "As God wills; there is no power except through God"? Although you see me inferior to you in wealth and children.
If only, when thou enteredst thy garden, thou hadst said: That which Allah willeth (will come to pass)! There is no strength save in Allah! Though thou seest me as less than thee in wealth and children
Why couldst thou not have said, when thou didst go into thy garden, "What God pleases! there is no power save in God," - to look at, I am less than thee in wealth and children
And why didst thou not say when thou enteredst thy garden, 'What God willeth! There is no power but in God.' Though thou seest that I have less than thou of wealth and children
And when thou enterest thy garden, wilt thou not say, what God pleaseth shall come to pass; there is no power but in God alone? Although thou seest me to be inferior to thee in wealth and number of children

23:13 তারপর আমি তাকে শুক্রবিন্দুরূপে সংরক্ষিত আধারে (জরায়ুতে) স্থাপন করেছি।
23:14 তারপর আমি (জরায়ুতে) শুক্রবিন্দুকে ‘আলাকায় (লাল জমাট রক্তে) পরিণত করেছি। তারপর ‘আলাকাকে গোশতপিণ্ডে পরিণত করেছি। তারপর গোশতপিণ্ডকে হাড়ে পরিণত করেছি। তারপর হাড়কে গোশত দিয়ে আবৃত করেছি। অতঃপর (রূহ ফুকের মাধ্যমে জীবন দান করে) তাকে অন্য এক সৃৃষ্টিরূপে গড়ে তুলেছি। অতএব সর্বোত্তম স্রষ্টা আল্লাহ, কত বরকতময়!
23:12 Mi čovjeka od bīti zemlje stvaramo,
23:13 zatim ga kao kap sjemena na sigurno mjesto stavljamo,
23:14 pa onda kap sjemena ugruškom učinimo, zatim od ugruška grudu mesa stvorimo, pa od grude mesa kosti napravimo, a onda kosti mesom zaodjenemo, i poslije ga, kao drugo stvorenje, oživimo – pa neka je uzvišen Allah, najljepši Stvoritelj!
23:12 Mi čovjeka od bíti zemlje stvaramo,

23:12 Und Wir schufen ja bereits den Menschen aus einem Auszug aus Lehm.
23:13 Hierauf machten Wir ihn zu einem Samentropfen in einem festen Aufenthaltsort.
23:14 Hierauf schufen Wir den Samentropfen zu einem Anhängsel, dann schufen Wir das Anhängsel zu einem kleinen Klumpen, dann schufen Wir den kleinen Klumpen zu Knochen, dann bekleideten Wir die Knochen mit Fleisch. Hierauf ließen Wir ihn als eine weitere Schöpfung entstehen. So sei Allah segensreich, der beste Schöpfer.
23:12 Πράγματι, έχουμε πλάσει τον άνθρωπο (τον Αδάμ) από λάσπη αναμεμειγμένη από όλη τη γη.
23:13 Έπειτα τον κάναμε (δηλ. τους απογόνους του Αδάμ) Νούτφα (σταγόνες από αναμεμειγμένες εκκρίσεις των δύο φύλων) μέσα σε προετοιμασμένο ασφαλή τόπο (τη μήτρα).
23:14 Έπειτα δημιουργήσαμε τις Νούτφα (σταγόνες εκκρίσεων των δύο φύλων) σε ‘Άλακα (κρεμάμενο θρόμβο αίματος), και δημιουργήσαμε τo ‘Άλακα σε Μούντγα (ένα κομμάτι σάρκας, που φαίνεται μασημένο), και δημιουργήσαμε το Μούντγα σε κόκκαλα, και ντύσαμε τα κόκκαλα με σάρκα, και έπειτα το κάναμε ένα άλλο νέο πλάσμα (από άψυχο πράγμα σε έναν άνθρωπο, εμφυσώντας το πνεύμα μέσα του). Ύψιστος είναι ο Αλλάχ, ο Άριστος των δημιουργών.
23:12 और निःसंदेह हमने मनुष्य को तुच्छ मिट्टी के एक सार से पैदा किया।
23:13 फिर हमने उसे वीर्य बनाकर एक सुरक्षित स्थान[3] में रखा।
23:14 फिर हमने उस वीर्य को एक जमा हुआ रक्त बनाया, फिर हमने उस जमे हुए रक्त को एक बोटी बनाया, फिर हमने उस बोटी को हड्डियाँ बनाया, फिर हमने उन हड्डियों को कुछ माँस पहनाया, फिर हमने उसे एक अन्य रूप में पैदा कर दिया। तो बहुत बरकत वाला है अल्लाह, जो बनाने वालों में सबसे अच्छा है।
23:12 E abbiamo in verità creato l’uomo da un estratto di argilla,
23:13 ne facemmo poi un fiotto in un luogo sicuro;
23:14 poi abbiamo creato il fiotto da una larva; quindi abbiamo creato dalla larva un embrione; dopo abbiamo creato dall’embrione le ossa, che abbiamo rivestito poi di carne. Poi lo abbiamo creato in una nuova forma: gloria ad Allāh, Supremo Creatore!
23:12 12. Ir iš tiesų, Mes sukūrėme žmogų (Adamą (Adomą)) iš molio ištraukos (vandens ir žemės).

23:12 Действительно, Мы сотворили человека из эссенции глины,

32:7 Der alles gut macht, was Er erschafft. Und Er machte die Schöpfung des Menschen am Anfang aus Lehm.
32:8 Hierauf machte Er seine Nachkommenschaft aus einem Auszug aus verächtlichem Wasser.
32:9 Hierauf formte Er ihn zurecht und hauchte ihm von Seinem Geist ein. Und Er hat euch Gehör, Augenlicht und Herzen gemacht. Wie wenig ihr (aber) dankbar seid!
32:7 Ο Οποίος τελειοποίησε ό,τι δημιούργησε, και δημιούργησε από την αρχή τον άνθρωπο (τον Αδάμ) από πηλό (χωρίς προηγούμενο πρότυπο).
32:8 Έπειτα δημιούργησε τους απογόνους του από εκκρίσεις αδύναμου υγρού (και των δύο φύλων).
32:9 Έπειτα τον διαμόρφωσε και του εμφύσησε το πνεύμα που δημιούργησε. Δημιούργησε για σας την ακοή, την όραση και τις καρδιές. Λίγο όμως είναι αυτό που δείχνετε από ευγνωμοσύνη (προς Αυτόν).

32:8 फिर उसके वंश को एक तुच्छ पानी के निचोड़ (वीर्य) से बनाया।
32:9 फिर उसे ठीक-ठाक किया, और उसमें अपनी एक आत्मा (प्राण) फूँकी, तथा तुम्हारे लिए कान और आँखें तथा दिल बनाए। तुम बहुत कम ही शुक्र करते हो।

32:7 Тот, Кто сделал прекрасным всё, что сотворил, и начал сотворение человека из глины.
32:8 Затем Он создал его потомство из сгустка презренной жидкости.
32:9 Затем Он придал ему соразмерный облик, вдохнул в него от Своего духа, и создал вам слух, зрение и сердца. Как же мало вы благодарите!

He regulates all affairs, from the heavens, to the earth. Then it ascends to Him on a Day the length of which is a thousand years by your count.
He directeth the ordinance from the heaven unto the earth; then it ascendeth unto Him in a Day, whereof the measure is a thousand years of that ye reckon
He governs the affair from the heaven unto the earth; then shall it ascend to him in a day, the measure of which is as a thousand years of what ye number
From the Heaven to the Earth He governeth all things: hereafter shall they come up to him on a day whose length shall be a thousand of such years as ye reckon

And they say, "What! when we shall have lain hidden in the earth, shall we become a new creation?" Yea, they deny that they shall meet their Lord
And they say, when we shall lie hidden in the earth, shall we be raised thence a new creature? Yea, they deny the meeting of their Lord at the resurrection

The selection above and this account of it are part of what was signed. Where the renderings disagree it says so; where the question runs past what has cleared the rights audit it says that too.
The question asks whether the text speaks to evolution, and whether it calls Adam the first human. The set starts from the passages on how man was made: 15:26-29, 23:12-14, 32:7-9, and 71:14, which is there because four of the five print 'stages' or 'steps' and Sale prints 'variously'. 3:59 is carried because it names Adam with his making from dust, and 4:1 because it prints one soul as the origin of people. Probes were run on all five renderings, whole word. 'evolution|evolve|evolved|evolving' returns 1 line, Itani at 18:37, which is carried here. 'species' returns 8 lines, none about how man was made. 'first man|first human|first of mankind|first person' returns 0 lines. 'apes?' returns 15 lines at 3 verses, none about how man was first made. This study does not compare the text with any science; that comparison lies outside the five renderings.
