And those who, when they commit an indecency or wrong themselves, remember God and ask forgiveness for their sins-and who forgives sins except God? And they do not persist in their wrongdoing while they know.

3:135 is the verse this question is drawn from, and it is worth reading for its structure.
It describes people who do wrong, remember God, ask forgiveness - and then adds the qualifying clause: AND WILL NOT KNOWINGLY REPEAT THE WRONG THEY DID. Some renderings put it as not persisting in what they did while they know.
So the forgiveness described in that verse is not unconditional. What is excluded is not repeating a fault, but repeating it KNOWINGLY - continuing while aware.
4:17-18 states the same limit from the other side. Forgiveness is incumbent toward those who do evil IN IGNORANCE and turn QUICKLY. Two conditions, and knowing persistence fails both.
The rest of the set describes what persistence looks like once it has settled.
7:146 is the fullest and the bleakest: they will not believe though they see every sign; IF THEY SEE THE WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS THEY CHOOSE IT NOT FOR A WAY, AND IF THEY SEE THE WAY OF ERROR THEY CHOOSE IT FOR A WAY. Not a failure of perception - a consistent choice at every fork.
7:136 grounds a judgment in heedlessness maintained over time rather than in one act.
And 10:7 names the psychological form, which is the most useful thing here for a reader: those who desire the life of the world AND FEEL SECURE THEREIN. Security is part of the fault. The person who has stopped expecting to be asked has already made the crucial move.

3:136 Ata do të kenë si shpërblim faljen nga Zoti i tyre dhe kopshtet e Xhenetit, nëpër të cilat rrjedhin lumenj, ku do të qëndrojnë përgjithmonë. Sa i mirë që është shpërblimi i punëmbarëve!
3:135 আর যারা কোন অশ্লীল কাজ করে ফেললে কিংবা নিজেদের প্রতি যুলুম করলে(৭২) আল্লাহকে স্মরণ করে এবং নিজেদের গুনাহের জন্য আল্লাহর কাছে ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করে। আল্লাহ ছাড়া আর কে গুনাহ ক্ষমা করতে পারে? আর তারা যা করে ফেলে, জেনে-বুঝে তারা তা বারবার করে না।
3:136 (উপরোক্ত বৈশিষ্ট্যের লোক) তারাই, যাদের প্রতিদান হলো তাদের রবের পক্ষ থেকে ক্ষমা(৭৩) এবং এমন জান্নাত, যার পাদদেশে দিয়ে প্রবাহিত হবে নদ-নদী। সেখানে তারা চিরকাল থাকবে। আর সৎকর্মশীলদের প্রতিদান কতইনা উত্তম!
3:135 I za one koji, kada učine nešto loše, ili sebi nepravdu nanesu, Allaha se sjete i oprost za grijehe svoje mole. A ko oprašta grijehe, ako ne Allah?! I za one koji u grijehu svjesno ne ustraju.
3:136 To su oni čija je nagrada oprost Gospodara njihova, i bašče kroz koje rijeke teku, gdje će vječno ostati. Divne li nagrade za one koji tako postupaju!

3:136 Ɓen ɗon, njoɓdi maɓɓe ndin ko yaafuyee immorde ka Joomi maɓɓe, e Aljannaaji : no ila e ley majji, caatli, duumotooɓe ton. Moƴƴii mbarjaari gollooɓe ɓen.
3:135 ხოლო ისინი, ვინც ჩაიდინეს საზიზღრობა [დიდი ცოდვა] ან საკუთარი თავი დაიჩაგრეს (მცირე ცოდვის ჩადენით), შემდეგ გაიხსენეს ალლაჰი და სთხოვეს მიტევება თავიანთი ცოდვებისთვის, და ვინ აპატიებს ცოდვებს ალლაჰის გარდა? — და ამასთან, არ იდგნენ ჯიუტად იმაში, რაც ჩაიდინეს, და ეს იციან.

3:135 Und diejenigen, die, wenn sie eine Abscheulichkeit begangen oder sich selbst Unrecht zugefügt haben, Allahs gedenken und dann für ihre Sünden um Vergebung bitten. Und wer sollte die Sünden vergeben außer Allah? Und (die) nicht auf dem beharren, was sie getan haben, wo sie (es) doch wissen.
3:136 Der Lohn jener ist Vergebung von ihrem Herrn und Gärten, unter denen Bäche fließen. Sie werden ewig darin verweilen. Und wie trefflich ist (doch) der Lohn der (gut) Handelnden.
3:135 Και οι οποίοι (ευσεβείς) αν διαπράξουν αισχρή αμαρτία ή αδικήσουν τον εαυτό τους (μέσω αμαρτιών), μνημονεύουν τον Αλλάχ και ζητούν συγχώρεση για τις αμαρτίες τους – και ποιος μπορεί να συγχωρέσει τις αμαρτίες εκτός από τον Αλλάχ; Και (οι οποίοι ευσεβείς) δεν επιμένουν σε ό,τι (αμαρτία) έκαναν, ενώ γνωρίζουν.
3:136 Η αμοιβή αυτών (των ευσεβών) είναι η συγχώρεση από τον Κύριό τους και κήποι (στον Παράδεισο) κάτω από τους οποίους (δηλ. κάτω από τα παλάτια και τα δέντρα τους) ρέουν ποτάμια. Θα κατοικήσουν εκεί μέσα (στον Παράδεισο) για πάντα, και πράγματι, εξαιρετική είναι η αμοιβή αυτών που πράττουν (τις ενάρετες πράξεις).
3:135 और वे ऐसे लोग हैं कि जब उनसे कोई जघन्य पाप हो जाता है या वे अपने ऊपर अत्याचार कर कर बैठते हैं, तो उन्हें अल्लाह याद आ जाता है। फिर वे अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगते हैं, और अल्लाह के सिवा कौन है जो पापों का क्षमा करने वाला होॽ और वे अपने किए पर जान बूझकर अड़े नहीं रहते।
3:136 वही लोग हैं जिनका बदला उनके पालनहार की ओर से क्षमा तथा ऐसे बाग़ हैं जिनके नीचे से नहरें बहती होंगी। उनमें वे सदैव रहेंगे। औ क्या ही अच्छा बदला है नेक काम करने वालों का।
3:135 e quelli che, ogni volta che compiono una nefandezza o fanno male a loro stessi, invocano Allāh e chiedono perdono per i loro peccati – e chi perdona i peccati all’infuori di Allāh? E che non perseverano su ciò che fanno, con consapevolezza.
3:136 Loro hanno per ricompensa il perdono dal loro Dio e Paradisi sotto i quali scorrono fiumi, dove abiteranno per l’eternità: che splendida ricompensa per quelli che fanno il bene!
3:135 135. O tiems, kurie atlikę ką nors gėdingo arba nusidėję blogiu, prisimena Allahą ir prašo atleidimo už jų nuodėmes, - ir niekas negali atleisti jų nuodėmių, tik Allahas – ir nebetęsia (blogio) ką jie padarė, nors ir žino.
3:136 136. Tokiems – atlygis yra jų Viešpaties Atleidimas ir Sodai su upėmis, tekančiomis po jais (Rojus), kur jie gyvens amžinai. Koks nuostabus yra šis atlygis darantiesiems (teisingus darbus pagal Allaho Įsakymus)!
3:135 (Isaan) warra yeroo waan fokkataa hojjatan yookiin lubbuulee isaanii miidhan Rabbiin yaadatanii, badiilee isaaniitiif araarama kadhatan. Rabbiin malee kan badiilee araaramu eenyu? (hin jiru), haala (badii ta’uu isaa) beekaniin waan hojjatan irra kan hin turreedha. [33]
3:136 Isaan sun mindaan isaanii araarama Gooftaa isaanii irraa ta’eefi jannata laggeen ishee jala yaatuudha. Isaan ishee keessatti zalaalam jiraatoodha. Mindaan hojjattootaa (jannata ta'uun) waa tole!
3:135 и которые, когда совершают мерзость или поступают несправедливо с самими собой, вспоминают Аллаха и просят прощения за свои грехи — а кто же прощает грехи, кроме Аллаха? — и не упорствуют в том, что совершили, зная это.
3:136 Такие — их награда: прощение от их Господа и сады, внизу которых текут реки, и где они пребудут вечно. Сколь же прекрасна награда творящих благое!
3:135 И за оне који, када учине нешто лоше, или себи учине неправду, сете се Аллаха и опрост за грехе своје замоле. А ко опрашта грехе, ако не Аллах?! И за оне који у греху свесно не устрају.
3:136 То су они чија је награда опрост њиховог Господара, и баште кроз које теку реке, где ће вечно да остану. Дивне ли награде за оне који тако поступају!
3:135 Na wale ambao wanapofanya uchafu au wakazidhulumu nafsi zao, humtaja Mwenyezi Mungu; na hapo wanamwomba kufutiwa dhambi zao. Na ni nani anayefuta dhambi isipokuwa Mwenyezi Mungu? Na wala hawaendelei na waliyoyafanya hali ya kuwa wanajua.
3:136 Hao malipo yao ni kufutiwa dhambi kutoka kwa Mola wao Mlezi, na Bustani zipitazo mito chini yake. Humo watadumu, na bora zaidi ni ujira wa watendao (wema).
3:135 de som, om de begår en skamlös handling eller gör orätt mot sig själva, minns Gud och ber om förlåtelse för sina synder – och vem kan förlåta synder utom Gud? – och som inte envist fortsätter med sådana handlingar, trots att de vet bättre.
3:136 Som belöning får de sin Herres förlåtelse och trädgårdar genom vilka floder rinner, och där ska de förbli. Vilken fantastisk belöning för de som har strävat!
3:135 Yine onlar, bir günah işlediklerinde veya nefislerine zulmettiklerinde Allah’ı zikredip günahları için mağfiret dilerler. Allah’tan başka günahları kim bağışlar? Onlar, yaptıklarında bile bile ısrar etmezler.
3:136 İşte onların mükâfatı Rableri tarafından bağışlanma ve içinden ırmaklar akan Cennetler'dir ki, orada ebedî kalacaklardır. Böyle amel edenlerin mükâfatı pek de güzeldir!
3:135 جب ان سے کوئی ناشائستہ کام ہو جائے یا کوئی گناه کر بیٹھیں تو فوراً اللہ کا ذکر اور اپنے گناہوں کے لئے استغفار کرتے ہیں[1] ، فیالواقع اللہ تعالیٰ کے سوا اور کون گناہوں کو بخش سکتا ہے؟ اور وه لوگ باوجود علم کے کسی برے کام پر اڑ نہیں جاتے.
3:136 انہیں کا بدلہ ان کے رب کی طرف سے مغفرت ہے اور جنتیں ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہیں، جن میں وه ہمیشہ رہیں گے، ان نیک کاموں کے کرنے والوں کا ﺛواب کیا ہی اچھا ہے.

for those who expend in alms, in prosperity and adversity, for those who repress their rage, and those who pardon men; God loves the kind
Who give alms, alike in prosperity and in success, and who master their anger, and forgive others! God loveth the doers of good

That is because they denied Our revelations, and paid no attention to them.

Unë do t'i largoj prej shenjave të Mia ata që sillen me mendjemadhësi në Tokë pa asnjë të drejtë. Edhe sikur të shohin çdo shenjë, nuk do ta besojnë; kur e shohin rrugën e udhëzimit, nuk e ndjekin atë, por, kur e shohin rrugën e gabuar, e marrin atë rrugë. Kjo, për shkak se ata i përgënjeshtruan ajetet Tona dhe ishin të shkujdesur ndaj tyre.
যারা অন্যায়ভাবে জমিনে অহংকার করে বেড়ায়, আমি অচিরেই তাদেরকে আমার নিদর্শনসমূহ থেকে অবশ্যই ফিরিয়ে রাখবো।(৩৭) আর তারা সকল নিদর্শন দেখলেও তার ওপর ঈমান আনবে না এবং তারা সৎপথ দেখলেও সেটাকে পথ হিসেবে গ্রহণ করবে না। কিন্তু তারা ভ্রান্ত পথ দেখলেই সেটাকেপথ হিসেবে গ্রহণ করবে। এটা এ জন্য যে, তারা আমার নিদর্শনসমূহকে মিথ্যারোপ করেছে এবং সে ব্যাপারে তারা গাফিল ছিল ।

მალე განვაშორებ ჩემს ნიშნებს [მათი გაგებისგან] მათ, რომლებიც ამპარტავნულად ამაღლებენ თავს მიწაზე უსამართლოდ! და როგორი ნიშნებიც არ უნდა იხილონ, ისინი მათ არ ირწმუნებენ. და თუ დაინახავენ სწორ გზას, მას არ მიჰყვებიან; ხოლო თუ დაინახავენ ცდომილების გზას, მას აირჩევენ საკუთარ გზად. ეს იმის გამო, რომ მათ უარყვეს ჩვენი ნიშნები და იყვნენ მათ მიმართ უყურადღებონი.
Ich werde von meinen Zeichen diejenigen abwenden, die auf der Erde ohne Recht hochmütig sind. Und wenn sie auch jedes Zeichen sehen, glauben sie nicht daran. Und wenn sie den Weg der Vernunft sehen, nehmen sie ihn sich nicht zum Weg. Wenn sie aber den Weg der Verirrung sehen, nehmen sie ihn sich zum Weg. Dies, weil sie Unsere Zeichen für Lüge erklären und ihnen gegenüber unachtsam waren.
Θα απομακρύνω από τα σημάδιά Μου (και από το να κατανοούν τα Εδάφιά Μου) εκείνους που είναι αλαζονικοί στη γη χωρίς κανένα δικαίωμα. Ακόμα κι αν δουν κάθε σημάδι, πάλι δε θα πιστέψουν σ' αυτό, και αν δουν τον δρόμο της καθοδήγησης, δε θα τον ακολουθήσουν, αλλά αν δουν τον δρόμο της παραπλάνησης, θα τον ακολουθήσουν ως τον δρόμο τους. Αυτό επειδή διέψευδαν τα σημάδιά Μας και ήταν αδιάφοροι γι' αυτά.
मैं अपनी आयतों (निशानियों) से उन लोगों[48] को फेर दूँगा, जो धरती में नाहक़ बड़े बनते[49] हैं। और यदि वे प्रत्येक निशानी देख लें, तब भी उसपर ईमान नहीं लाते। और यदि वे भलाई का मार्ग देख लें, तो उसे मार्ग नहीं बनाते और यदि गुमराही का मार्ग देखें, तो उसे मार्ग बना लेते हैं। यह इस कारण कि उन्होंने हमारी आयतों (निशानियों) को झुठलाया और वे उनसे ग़ाफ़िल थे।

E se vedono ogni Segno, non vi credono, e se vedono il sentiero della rettitudine, non lo prendono come sentiero, e se vedono quello della perdizione, lo prendono come sentiero: ciò perché in verità smentirono i Nostri segni e ne erano completamente scettici.
146. Aš nugręšiu nuo Savo Ajat (Korano eilučių) tuos, kurie elgiasi akiplėšiškai žemėje, neturėdami tam teisės, ir (netgi) jei jie matys visus Ajat (įrodymus, įkalčius, eilutes, pamokas, ženklus, apreiškimus ir t.t.), jie netikės jais. Ir jei jie matys teisingą kelią (viendievystės, dievobaimingumo ir gerų darbų), jie nesirinks jo kaip Kelio, tačiau jei jie matys klaidingą kelią (daugiadievystės, nusikaltimų ir blogų darbų), jie pasirinks šį kelią. Я отвращу от Своих знамений тех, которые превозносятся на земле без права. И если они увидят любое знамение, — они не уверуют в него; а если увидят путь благоразумия, то не изберут его путём, а если увидят путь заблуждения, то изберут его путём. Это потому, что они считали ложью Наши знамения и относились к ним беспечно.
Одвратићу од Својих знамења оне који се, без икаквог основа, на Земљи охоле. И какав год доказ они виде, неће у њега да верују; ако виде Прави пут - неће као пут да га прихвате, а ако виде странпутицу – као пут ће да је прихвате. То је зато што знакове Наше поричу и што су према њима равнодушни.
Nitawaepusha na Ishara zangu wale wanaotakabari katika ardhi bila ya haki. Na wao wakiona kila Ishara, hawaiamini. Wakiiona njia ya uwongofu, hawaichukui kuwa ndiyo njia. Lakini wakiiona njia ya ukengeufu, wanaichukua kuwa ndiyo njia. Hayo ni kwa sababu walizikadhibisha Ishara zetu, na walikuwa wakighafilika mbali nazo.
De som utan rätt uppträder högmodigt på jorden ska jag avleda från mina tecken. Även om de ser alla tecken ska de inte tro på dem. Om de ser rättfärdighetens väg kommer de inte att följa den, men om de ser villfarelsens väg kommer de att följa den. Detta för att de vägrade att tro på våra tecken och var likgiltiga inför dem.
Haksız yere yeryüzünde büyüklenen kimseleri ayetlerimizi (anlayıp, ibret almaktan) uzak tutacağım. Onlar bütün ayetleri görseler de iman etmezler. Doğru yolu görseler onu yol edinmezler. Sapıklık yolunu gördüklerinde onu yol edinirler. İşte bu, onların ayetlerimizi yalanlamaları ve onlardan gafil olmalarından dolayıdır.
میں ایسے لوگوں کو اپنے احکام سے برگشتہ ہی رکھوں گا جو دنیا میں تکبر کرتے ہیں، جس کا ان کو کوئی حق حاصل نہیں اور اگر تمام نشانیاں دیکھ لیں تب بھی وه ان پر ایمان نہ ﻻئیں،[1] اور اگر ہدایت کا راستہ دیکھیں تو اس کو اپنا طریقہ نہ بنائیں اور اگر گمراہی کا راستہ دیکھ لیں تو اس کو اپنا طریقہ بنالیں[2]۔ یہ اس سبب سے ہے کہ انہوں نے ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا اور ان سے غافل رہے۔[3]

He said, 'O Moses! verily, I have chosen thee over the people with my messages and my words, take then what I have brought thee, and be of those who thank

And we wrote for him upon tablets an admonition concerning everything, and a detailing of everything: 'Take them then with firmness, and bid thy people take them for what is best thereof. I will show you the abode of those who work abominations
And we wrote for him upon the tables a monition concerning every matter, and said, "Receive them thyself with steadfastness, and command thy people to receive them for the observance of its most goodly precepts: - I will shew you the abode of the wicked
And We wrote for him upon the Tablets about everything an admonition and an explanation of all things. 'So hold them fast and bid thy people follow the best thereof. Soon shall I show you the abode of the transgressors

Those who deny Our revelations and the meeting of the Hereafter-their deeds will come to nothing. Will they be repaid except according to what they used to do?
Those who deny Our revelations and the meeting of the Hereafter, their works are fruitless. Are they requited aught save what they used to do
But those who say our signs and the meeting of the last day are lies,-- vain are their works: shall they be rewarded save for that which they have done
Vain will be the works of those who treated our signs, and the meeting of the life to come, as lies! Shall they be rewarded but as they have wrought
And those who reject Our Signs and the meeting of the Hereafter -- their works are vain. Can they expect to be rewarded for anything except for what they do
وَٱتَّخَذَ قَوْمُ مُوسَىٰ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ مِنْ حُلِيِّهِمْ عِجْلًا جَسَدًا لَّهُۥ خُوَارٌ أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّهُۥ لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمْ وَلَا يَهْدِيهِمْ سَبِيلًا ٱتَّخَذُوهُ وَكَانُوا۟ ظَٰلِمِينَ

In his absence, the people of Moses adopted a calf made from their ornaments-a body which lowed. Did they not see that it could not speak to them, nor guide them in any way? They took it for worship. They were in the wrong.
And the folk of Moses, after (he left them), chose a calf (for worship), (made) out of their ornaments, of saffron hue, which gave a lowing sound. Saw they not that it spake not unto them nor guided them to any way? They chose it, and became wrong-doers
And Moses' people after him took to themselves of their ornaments a corporeal calf that lowed; did they not see that it could not speak with them, nor could it guide them in the path? They took it and they were unjust
And the people of Moses took during his absence a calf made of their ornaments, and ruddy like gold, and lowing. Saw they not that it could not speak to them, nor guide them in the way? Yet they took if for a God and became offenders
And the people of Moses made, in his absence, out of their ornaments, a calf -- a lifeless body, producing a lowing sound. Did they not see that it spoke not to them, nor guided them to any way? They took it for worship and they were transgressors

وَأَوْرَثْنَا ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُوا۟ يُسْتَضْعَفُونَ مَشَٰرِقَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَغَٰرِبَهَا ٱلَّتِى بَٰرَكْنَا فِيهَا وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ عَلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا۟ وَدَمَّرْنَا مَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ فِرْعَوْنُ وَقَوْمُهُۥ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْرِشُونَ

And We made the oppressed people inherit the eastern and western parts of the land, which We had blessed. Thus the fair promise of your Lord to the Children of Israel was fulfilled, because of their endurance. And We destroyed what Pharaoh and his people had built, and what they had harvested.

7:136 Prandaj, Ne u hakmorëm e i fundosëm në det, sepse ata i përgënjeshtronin provat Tona dhe ishin të shkujdesur ndaj tyre.
7:137 Ndërkaq, popullit të shtypur ia lamë në trashëgim viset e lindjes e të perëndimit të tokës që kishim bekuar. Kështu u plotësua premtimi i bukur i Zotit tënd për bijtë e Israilit për shkak se duruan, si dhe shkatërruam veprat dhe ndërtesat që ngritën Faraoni e populli i tij.
7:136 অতঃপর আমি তাদের থেকে প্রতিশোধ নিলাম। ফলে, তাদেরকে গভীর সমুদ্রে ডুবিয়ে দিলাম। কারণ তারা আমার আয়াতসমূহকে অস্বীকার করেছে এবং এ সম্পর্কে তারা ছিল গাফিল।
7:137 আর যে জাতিকে একদা দুর্বল মনে করা হতো, তাদেরকে আমি বরকতপ্রাপ্ত ভূমির পূর্ব ও পশ্চিমের উত্তরাধিকারী বানালাম(২৯) এবং বানূ ইসরাঈলের ওপর তোমার রবের উত্তম বাণী পূর্ণতা লাভ করলো।(৩০) কারণ তারা ধৈর্যধারণ করেছিল। আর ধ্বংস করে দিলাম ফির‘আউন ও তার সম্প্রদায় যা কিছু তৈরি করেছিল এবং তারা যেসব প্রাসাদ নির্মাণ করেছিল সেগুলোকে।

7:136 და (როცა დადგა მათი სასჯელის დრო) ჩვენ ვიძიეთ მათზე შური და ჩავახრჩვეთ ისინი ზღვაში იმის გამო, რომ უარყვეს ჩვენი ნიშნები და უყურადღებოდ ეკიდებოდნენ მათ!
7:137 და მივეცით ჩვენ მემკვიდრეობად იმ ხალხს, რომლებიც იყვნენ ჩაგრულნი [ისრაელის ძეებს], აღმოსავლეთნი და დასავლეთნი იმ მიწისა, რომელშიც დავლოცეთ[1]. და აღსრულდა შენი უფლის კეთილი სიტყვა ისრაელის ძეებზე იმის გამო, რომ ისინი მოთმინებას იჩენდნენ. და დავანგრიეთ ჩვენ ის, რასაც აშენებდა ფარაონი და მისი ხალხი, და ისიც, რასაც ისინი აღმართავდნენ!
7:136 So rächten Wir uns an ihnen (und übten an ihnen Vergeltung) und ließen sie im Meer ertrinken, (dies) dafür, dass sie Unsere Zeichen für Lüge erklärten und ihnen gegenüber unachtsam waren.
7:137 Und Wir gaben dem Volk, das unterdrückt worden war, zum Erbe die östlichen und die westlichen (Gegenden) des Landes, das Wir gesegnet haben. Und das schönste Wort deines Herrn erfüllte sich an den Kindern Israils dafür, dass sie geduldig waren. Und Wir zerstörten, was Fir'aun und sein Volk zu machen und was sie (an Gebäuden) zu errichten pflegten.
7:136 Έτσι, πήραμε εκδίκηση απ' αυτούς και τους πνίξαμε στο νερό γιατί διέψευδαν τα Σημάδιά Μας και ήταν αδιάφοροι γι' αυτά.
7:137 Και δώσαμε στον λαό που καταπιεζόταν, τα ανατολικά της γης και τα δυτικά της που είχαμε ευλογήσει μέσα της. Εκπληρώθηκε ο καλός λόγος του Κυρίου σου για τα παιδιά του Ισραήλ εξαιτίας όσων υπέμειναν με υπομονή, και καταστρέψαμε ό,τι έφτιαχνε ο Φαραώ και ο λαός του (από σπίτια και χωράφια) και ό,τι κατασκεύαζαν (από παλάτια).
7:136 अंततः हमने उनसे बदला लिया और उन्हें सागर में डुबो दिया, इस कारण कि उन्होंने हमारी आयतों (निशानियों) को झुठलाया और वे उनसे ग़ाफ़िल थे।
7:137 और हमने उन लोगों को जो कमज़ोर समझे जाते थे, उस धरती के पूर्व और पश्चिम के भूभागों का वारिस बना दिया, जिसमें हमने बरकत रखी है। और (इस प्रकार) बनी इसराईल के हक़ में (ऐ नबी!) आपके पालनहार का शुभ वचन पूरा हो गया, इस कारण कि उन्होंने धैर्य से काम लिया। तथा फ़िरऔन और उसकी जाति के लोग जो कुछ बनाते थे और वे जो इमारते ऊँची करते थे, हमने उन्हें नष्ट कर दिया।[45]
7:136 Così ci vendicammo su di loro facendoli annegare nel mare, per aver smentito i Nostri segni, e ne erano distratti.
7:137 E facemmo ereditare al popolo che era oppresso l’oriente e l’occidente della terra che abbiamo benedetto, e si avverò il buon annuncio del tuo Dio sui figli d’Israīl per la loro pazienza. E distruggemmo ciò che il Faraone e il suo popolo avevano fatto e ciò che avevano costruito.
7:136 136. Taigi, Mes atlyginome jiems. Mes paskandinome juos jūroje, nes jie neigė Mūsų Ajat (įrodymus, įkalčius, eilutes, pamokas, ženklus, apreiškimus ir t.t.) ir jų nepaisė.
7:137 137. Ir Mes privertėme žmones, kurie buvo laikomi silpni, paveldėti rytines žemes ir vakarines, kurias Mes palaiminome. Ir teisingas tavo Viešpaties Žodis buvo išpildytas Israelio (Izraelio) vaikams dėl jų ištvermės. Ir Mes visiškai sunaikinome visus didžius darbus ir pastatus, kuriuos Firaun (Faraonas) ir jo žmonės buvo pastatę.

7:137 Nuti namoota hacuucamaa turan Bahaafi Dhiha dachii (biyya shaam) dhaalchifne, ishee barakaa keessa goonee. jechi Rabbii keetii toltuun Banii Israa’iil irratti guutamte Sababa isaan obsaniif. Waan Fir’awniifi ummanni isaa dalagaa turaniifi waan isaan ijaaraa turanis ni barbadeessine.
7:136 И тогда Мы отомстили им, потопили их в море за то, что они сочли ложью Наши знамения и относились к ним беспечно.
7:137 И Мы дали в наследие народу, который был угнетён, восточные и западные края [той земли], которую Мы благословили. И свершилось прекрасное слово твоего Господа о сынах Исраила — за то, что они проявляли терпение. И Мы разрушили то, что строил Фараон и его народ, и то, что они возводили.
7:136 И онда их Ми казнисмо и у море их потописмо, јер су порицали Наше знакове и према њима су били равнодушни,
7:137 а потлаченом народу смо дали у наслеђе источне и западне крајеве земље коју смо благословили, и лепе речи твога Господара синовима Израиљевим су биле испуњене - зато што су трпели, а са земљом сравнисмо оно што су фараон и његов народ били саградили и оно што су увис подизали.
7:136 Basi tukawaadhibu, tukawazamisha katika bahari kwa sababu walizikadhibisha Ishara zetu, na wakawa wanaghafilika mbali nazo.
7:137 Na tukawarithisha kaumu wale waliokuwa wakidhoofishwa, mashariki ya ardhi na magharibi yake ambayo tulibariki ndani yake. Na likatimia neno jema la Mola wako Mlezi juu ya Wana wa Israili, kwa vile walivyosubiri. Na tukayaangamiza yale aliyokuwa akiyafanya Firauni na kaumu yake, na yale waliyokuwa wakiyajenga.
7:136 Så lät vi vedergällningen drabba dem och dränkte dem i havet, för att de vägrade tro på våra tecken och var likgiltiga inför dem.
7:137 Och vi lät det folk som hade förtryckts ta över de östra och västra delarna av det land vi välsignat. Och din Herres goda löfte till israeliterna uppfylldes tack vare deras tålamod. Och vi lade i ruiner allt som Farao och hans folk hade rest och byggt.
7:136 Bu yüzden onlardan intikam aldık. Ayetlerimizi yalanlamaları ve onları umursamamaları sebebiyle kendilerini denizde boğduk.
7:137 Hor görülüp ezilmekte olan kavmi (İsrailoğulları'nı), toprağına bolluk ve bereket verdiğimiz yerin (Şam bölgesinin) doğu ve batı taraflarına mirasçı kıldık. İsrailoğulları’nın sabretmelerine karşılık olarak Rabbinin güzel sözü/vaadi gerçekleşti. Firavun ve kavminin yaptıklarını ve kurup yükselttikleri şeyleri yerle bir ettik.
7:136 پھر ہم نے ان سے بدلہ لیا یعنی ان کو دریا میں غرق کر دیا اس سبب سے کہ وه ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلاتے تھے اور ان سے بالکل ہی غفلت کرتے تھے۔[1]
7:137 اور ہم نے ان لوگوں کو جو کہ بالکل کمزور شمار کئے جاتے تھے[1] ۔ اس سرزمین کے پورب پچھم کا مالک بنا دیا، جس میں ہم نے برکت رکھی ہے[2] اور آپ کے رب کا نیک وعده، بنی اسرائیل کے حق میں ان کے صبر کی وجہ سے پورا ہوگیا[3] اور ہم نے فرعون کے اور اس کی قوم کے ساختہ پرداختہ کارخانوں کو اور جو کچھ وه اونچی اونچی عمارتیں بنواتے تھے، سب کو درہم برہم کر دیا۔[4]

Whenever a plague befell them, they would say, "O Moses, pray to your Lord for us, according to the covenant He made with you. If you lift the plague from us, we will believe in you, and let the Children of Israel go with you."
And when the terror fell on them they cried: O Moses! Pray for us unto thy Lord, because He hath a covenant with thee. If thou removest the terror from us we verily will trust thee and will let the Children of Israel go with thee
And when there fell upon them the plague, they said, 'O Moses! call upon thy Lord for us, as He has covenanted with thee; verily, if thou dost remove the plague from us, we will believe in thee; and we will assuredly send with thee the children of Israel
And when any plague fell upon them, they said, "O Moses! pray for us to thy Lord, according to that which he hath covenanted with thee: Truly if thou take off the plague from us, we will surely believe thee, and will surely send the children of Israel with thee
And when there fell upon them the punishment, they said, 'O Moses, pray for us to thy Lord according to that which He has promised to thee. If thou remove from us the punishment, we will surely believe thee and we will surely send with thee the Children of Israel
فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ ٱلرِّجْزَ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ هُم بَٰلِغُوهُ إِذَا هُمْ يَنكُثُونَ

But when We did remove from them the terror for a term which they must reach, behold! they broke their covenant
But when we removed from them the plague until the appointed time which they should reach, lo! then they broke their promise
But when we had taken off the plague from them, and the time which God had granted them had expired, behold! they broke their promise
But when We removed from them the punishment for a term which they were to reach, lo! they broke their promise

And with the children of Israel we passed across the sea; and they came unto a people devoted to their idols, and said, 'O Moses! make for us a god as they have gods.' Said he, 'Verily, ye are ignorant people
And we brought the children of Israel across the sea, and they came to a people who gave themselves up to their idols. They said, "O Moses! make us a god, as they have gods." He said, "Verily, ye are an ignorant people
And We brought the Children of Israel across the sea and they came to a people who were devoted to their idols. They said, 'O Moses, make for us a god just as they have gods.' He said, 'Surely you are an ignorant people

"What these people are concerned with is perdition, and their deeds are based on falsehoods."
Lo! as for these, their way will be destroyed and all that they are doing is in vain
Verily, these - destroyed shall be that which they are given to; and vain is that which they have done
For the worship they practise will be destroyed, and that which they do, is vain
Surely, all that these people are engaged in shall be destroyed, and vain shall be all that they do

10:7 নিশ্চয় যারা আমার সাক্ষাতের আশা পোষণ করে না, (আখিরাতের স্থায়ী জীবনের পরিবর্তে) দুনিয়ার জীবন নিয়েই সন্তুষ্ট হয়েছে এবং এতেই পরিতৃপ্ত থাকে, আর যারা আমার নিদর্শনাবলি সম্পর্কে গাফিল।

10:7 Zaista onima koji ne očekuju da će pred Nas stati i koji su zadovoljni životom na ovom svijetu, koji su u njemu smireni, i onima koji su prema ajetima i znakovima našim ravnodušni,
10:8 njima prebivalište bit će Vatra, zbog onoga što su radili.

10:8 მათი სამყოფელი ცეცხლია იმის სანაცვლოდ, რასაც ისინი იხვეჭდნენ [მათი ცოდვების და ურწმუნოების გამო].
10:7 Diejenigen nun, die nicht die Begegnung mit Uns erwarten und mit dem diesseitigen Leben zufrieden sind und darin Ruhe gefunden haben, und die gegenüber Unseren Zeichen unachtsam sind,
10:8 deren Zufluchtsort wird das (Höllen)feuer sein für das, was sie erworben haben.
10:7 Πράγματι, εκείνοι που δεν ελπίζουν στη συνάντησή Μας (και δεν την περιμένουν, ούτε τη φοβούνται) και είναι ικανοποιημένοι με την εγκόσμια ζωή και είναι καθησυχασμένοι σ' αυτήν, και εκείνοι που για τα Σημάδιά Μας αδιαφορούν,
10:8 η κατοικία τους θα είναι η Φωτιά, για ό,τι διέπρατταν.
10:7 निःसंदेह जो लोग हमसे मिलने की आशा नहीं रखते और वे सांसारिक जीवन से प्रसन्न हो गए तथा उसी से संतुष्ट हो गए और वे लोग जो हमारी निशानियों से असावधान हैं।
10:8 यही लोग हैं जिनका ठिकाना जहन्नम है, उसके बदले जो वे कमाया करते थे।
10:7 In verità quelli che non si aspettano di incontrarCi e si sono accontentati e rasserenati della vita terrena, e quelli che si sono distratti dai Nostri Segni,
10:8 quelli avranno come dimora il Fuoco a causa di quello che hanno guadagnato.

10:8 8. Tie – jų buveinė bus Ugnis, dėl to, ką jie įgydavo.

10:7 Воистину, те, которые не надеются на встречу с Нами, удовольствовались мирской жизнью и обрели в ней покой, и те, которые к Нашим знамениям беспечны,
10:8 такие — их прибежище адский огонь, за то, что они приобретали.
10:7 Заиста онима који не очекују да ће пред Нама да полажу рачун, и који су задовољни животом на овом пролазном свету, који су у њему смирени, и онима који су равнодушни према нашим речима и доказима,

10:8 Hao, makazi yao ni Motoni kwa sababu ya yale waliyokuwa wakiyachuma.
10:7 De som inte ser fram emot mötet med oss utan nöjer sig med det jordiska livet och finner ro i det, och som är likgiltiga inför våra tecken –
10:8 deras hemvist ska bli elden, [som straff] för vad de förvärvat.

It is He who made the sun radiant, and the moon a light, and determined phases for it-that you may know the number of years and the calculation. God did not create all this except with truth. He details the revelations for a people who know.
He it is Who appointed the sun a splendour and the moon a light, and measured for her stages, that ye might know the number of the years, and the reckoning. Allah created not (all) that save in truth. He detaileth the revelations for people who have knowledge
He it is who made the sun for a brightness, and the moon for a light, and decreed for it mansions, that ye may know the number of the years and the reckoning.- God only created that in truth. He details the signs unto a people who do know
It is He who hath appointed the sun for brightness, and the moon for a light, and hath ordained her stations that ye may learn the number of years and the reckoning of time. God hath not created all this but for the truth. He maketh his signs clear to those who understand

DIN 31635ʾinna fī ḫtilāfi llayli wan-nahāri wamā ḫalaqa llāhu fī s-samāwāti wal-ʾarḍi laʾāyātin liqawmin yattaqūna
In the alternation of night and day, and in what God created in the heavens and the earth, are signs for people who are aware.
Lo! in the difference of day and night and all that Allah hath created in the heavens and the earth are portents, verily, for folk who ward off (evil)
Verily, in the alternation of night and day, and in what God has created of the heavens and the earth, are signs unto a people who do fear
Verily, in the alternations of night and of day, and in all that God hath created in the Heavens and in the Earth are signs to those who fear Him
Moreover in the vicissitude of night and day, and whatever God hath created in heaven and earth, are surely signs unto men who fear Him

As for those who believe and do good deeds, their Lord guides them in their faith. Rivers will flow beneath them in the Gardens of Bliss.
Lo! those who believe and do good works, their Lord guideth them by their faith. Rivers will flow beneath them in the Gardens of Delight
Verily, those who believe and do what is right, their Lord guides them by their faith; beneath them shall rivers flow in the gardens of pleasure
But they who believe and do the things that are right, shall their Lord direct aright because of their faith. Rivers shall flow at their feet in gardens of delight
But as to those who believe, and work righteousness, their Lord will direct them because of their faith; they shall have rivers flowing through gardens of pleasure
دَعْوَىٰهُمْ فِيهَا سُبْحَٰنَكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ وَتَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيهَا سَلَٰمٌ وَءَاخِرُ دَعْوَىٰهُمْ أَنِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Their call therein is, "Glory be to You, our God." And their greeting therein is, "Peace." And the last of their call is, "Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds."
Their prayer therein will be: Glory be to Thee, O Allah! and their greeting therein will be: Peace. And the conclusion of their prayer will be: Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds
Their cry therein shall be, 'Celebrated be Thy praises, O God!' and their salutation therein shall be, 'Peace!' and the end of their cry shall be, 'Praise (belongs) to God, the Lord of the worlds
Their cry therein, "Glory be to thee, O God!" and their salutation therein, "Peace!" And the close of their cry, "Praise be to God, Lord, of all creatures
Their prayer therein shall be, praise be unto thee, O God! And their salutation therein shall be, peace! And the end of their prayer shall be, praise be unto God, the Lord of all creatures

Repentance is available from God for those who commit evil out of ignorance, and then repent soon after. These-God will relent towards them. God is Knowing and Wise.

Forgiveness is only incumbent on Allah toward those who do evil in ignorance (and) then turn quickly (in repentance) to Allah. These are they toward whom Allah relenteth. Allah is ever Knower, Wise

With God himself will the repentance of those who have done evil ignorantly, and then turn speedily unto Him, be accepted. These! God will turn unto them: for God is Knowing, Wise

But repentance is not available for those who commit evils, until when death approaches one of them, he says, "Now I repent," nor for those who die as disbelievers. These-We have prepared for them a painful torment.

4:17 Në të vërtetë, Allahu ua pranon pendimin atyre që bëjnë të këqija nga padija e pastaj pendohen me kohë. Pra, këtyre Allahu ua pranon pendimin. Allahu është i Gjithëdijshëm dhe i Urtë.
4:18 Mirëpo, nuk ka pendim për ata që bëjnë të këqija derisa t'u vijë vdekja e atëherë[8] thonë: "Unë po pendohem tani" e as për ata që vdesin duke qenë jobesimtarë. Për këta, Ne kemi përgatitur një dënim të dhembshëm.
4:17 আল্লাহ অবশ্যই সেসব লোকের তাওবা কবুল করবেন যারা অজ্ঞতাবশত(১১) মন্দ কাজ করে এবং পরক্ষণেই ভীষণ অনুতপ্ত হয় এবং তাওবা করে। এরাই সেসব লোক, যাদের তাওবা আল্লাহ কবুল করেন। আর আল্লাহ তো সর্বজ্ঞানী, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
4:18 তাওবা তাদের জন্য নয়, যারা আজীবন মন্দ কাজ করে, অবশেষে যখন তাদের কারো মৃত্যু উপস্থিত হয় তখন সে বলে, ‘আমি এখন তাওবা করেছি’। আর সেসব লোকদের জন্যও তাওবা নয়, যাদের মৃত্যু হয় কাফির অবস্থায়। এরাই তারা যাদের জন্য আমি বেদনাদায়ক শাস্তি প্রস্তুত করে রেখেছি।
4:17 Allah prima samo pokajanje onih koji učine kakvo loše djelo iz neznanja, a potom se ubrzo pokaju. Njima će Allah oprostiti, a Allah je Onaj Koji sve zna i mudar je.
4:18 Nema pokajanja onima koji čine loša djela sve dok im se ne približi smrt, pa onda govore: "Sad se, doista, kajem!", niti za one koji umru kao nevjernici. Njima smo bolnu patnju pripremili.

4:17 ჭეშმარიტად, ალლაჰთან არის (აღთქმა) სინანულის მიღებისა მათთვის, ვინც ბოროტებას [ცოდვას] სჩადის უცოდინრობით, შემდეგ კი მალევე მოინანიებს. ასეთებს — ალლაჰი მიიღებს მათ სინანულს (აპატიებს მათ). და ჭეშმარიტად, ალლაჰი ყოვლისმცოდნე, ბრძენია!

4:17 Wahrlich, die (Annahme der) Reue obliegt Allah nur für diejenigen, die in Unwissenheit Schlechtes tun und hierauf zeitnah bereuen. Deren Reue nimmt Allah an, und Allah ist allwissend und allweise.
4:18 Und die (Annahme) der Reue ist nicht für diejenigen, die schlechte Taten begehen, bis dann, wenn bei einem von ihnen der Tod erscheint (und näher kommt), er sagt: „Jetzt bereue ich“, und auch nicht für diejenigen, die als Ungläubige sterben. Für jene haben Wir schmerzhafte Strafe bereitet.
4:17 Ο Αλλάχ δέχεται μόνο τη μεταμέλεια εκείνων που διαπράττουν το κακό από άγνοια και μετά στρέφονται με μεταμέλεια (προς τον Αλλάχ) σύντομα. Γι' αυτούς ο Αλλάχ δέχεται τη μεταμέλειά τους, και ο Αλλάχ είναι ‘Αλείμ (Παντογνώστης) και Χακείμ (Πάνσοφος).
4:18 Η μεταμέλεια δεν γίνεται δεκτή από εκείνους που διαπράττουν το κακό (όλη τους τη ζωή) και όταν ο θάνατος έρθει σε έναν απ' αυτούς, τότε λέει: «Τώρα στρέφομαι με μεταμέλεια (προς τον Αλλάχ).», ούτε από εκείνους που πεθαίνουν ως άπιστοι, γι' αυτούς έχουμε προετοιμάσει επώδυνο μαρτύριο.
4:17 अल्लाह के पास उन्हीं लोगों की तौबा स्वीकार्य है, जो अनजाने में बुराई कर बैठते हैं, फिर शीघ्र ही तौबा कर लेते हैं। तो अल्लाह ऐसे ही लोगों की तौबा क़बूल करता है। तथा अल्लाह सब कुछ जानने वाला हिकमत वाला है।
4:18 और उनकी तौबा स्वीकार्य नहीं, जो बुराइयाँ करते जाते हैं, यहाँ तक कि जब उनमें से किसी की मौत का समय आ जाता है, तो कहने लगता है : "अब मैंने तौबा कर ली!" और न ही उनकी (तौबा स्वीकार्य है) जो काफ़िर रहते हुए मर जाते हैं। उन्हीं के लिए हमने दुःखदायी यातना तैयार कर रखी है।
4:17 In verità il perdono è di Allāh, per quelli che fanno il male per ignoranza, e presto se ne pentono; e quelli saranno perdonati da Allāh, e Allāh è in verità Sapiente, Saggio.
4:18 Non c’è perdono per quelli che fanno peccato e che, quando arriva loro la morte, dicono: «Ora sono pentito!», né per quelli che muoiono da miscredenti: per quelli abbiamo preparato una dura punizione.

4:17 Tawbaan (qeebaltiin isii) Rabbirratti taate warra wallaalumaan hamtuu hojjatanii ergasii dhihootti (osoo duuti itti hindhufin) tawbataniifi, Warra san Rabbiin tawbaa isaanii irraa qeebala, Rabbiin beekaa, ogeessa ta'eera.
4:18 Tawbaan hintaane warra badiilee hojjatanii hanga tokkoon isaaniitti duuti dhufutti (yoggus) "ani amma tawbadhe" jedhaniifi. isaannan kaafiroota ta’anii du’aniifis (qeebalamtuu hin taane). Warra san Nuti azaaba laalessaa isaaniif qopheessinee jirra. [10]
4:17 Воистину, Аллах принимает покаяние лишь от тех, которые по неведению совершают зло, а затем вскоре каются. Именно такие — те, у кого Аллах принимает покаяние. Аллах всегда был [и пребудет] знающим, мудрым.
4:18 И покаяние не для тех, которые совершают скверные деяния, пока, когда приходит к одному из них смерть, он не скажет: «Воистину, я раскаялся сейчас», и не для тех, которые умирают, оставаясь отвергшими веру. Таким Мы уготовили мучительное наказание.
4:17 Аллах прима само покајање оних који учине какво лоше дело из незнања, а потом се убрзо покају. Њима ће Аллах да опрости, а Аллах све зна и мудар је.
4:18 Нема покајања онима који чине лоша дела све док им се не приближи смрт, па онда говоре: „Сад се, заиста, кајем!“ Нити за оне који умру као неверници. Њима смо болну патњу припремили.
4:17 Hakika, toba inayokubaliwa na Mwenyezi Mungu ni ya wale wafanyao uovu kwa ujinga, kisha wakatubia kwa haraka. Hao ndio Mwenyezi Mungu huwakubalia toba yao, na Mwenyezi Mungu ni mwenye kujua, Mwenye hekima.
4:18 Wala hawana toba wale wafanyao maovu mpaka yakamfikia mmoja wao mauti, kisha hapo akasema: Hakika, mimi sasa nimetubu. Wala wale wanaokufa hali ya kuwa wao ni makafiri. Hao tumewaandalia adhabu chungu.
4:17 Gud tar endast emot ånger från de som begår dåliga handlingar av oförstånd och sedan ångrar sig, innan deras tid är ute. Det är deras ånger som Gud tar emot. Gud är allvetande, vis.
4:18 Men ångern tas inte emot från de som fortsätter att begå dåliga handlingar och först när döden når dem säger: ”Nu ångrar jag mig!”, och inte heller från de som dör som otrogna. För dem har vi förberett ett plågsamt straff.
4:17 Allah katında (makbul) tevbe, ancak cahillikle bilmeyerek günah işleyip sonra çok geçmeden tevbe edenlerin tevbesidir. İşte Allah, bunların tevbelerini kabul buyurur. Allah, hakkıyla bilendir, hüküm ve hikmet sahibidir.
4:18 Yoksa (makbul) tevbe, kötülükleri (günahları) işleyip de kendisine ölüm gelip çatınca, “İşte ben şimdi tevbe ettim” diyen kimseler ile kâfir olarak ölenlerinki değildir. Bunlar için ahirette elem dolu bir azap hazırlamışızdır.
4:17 اللہ تعالیٰ صرف انہی لوگوں کی توبہ قبول فرماتا ہے جو بوجہ نادانی کوئی برائی کر گزریں پھر جلد اس سے باز آ جائیں اور توبہ کریں تو اللہ تعالیٰ بھی ان کی توبہ قبول کرتا ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ بڑے علم واﻻ حکمت واﻻ ہے۔
4:18 ان کی توبہ نہیں جو برائیاں کرتے چلے جائیں یہاں تک کہ جب ان میں سے کسی کے پاس موت آجائے تو کہہ دے کہ میں نے اب توبہ کی[1] ، اور ان کی توبہ بھی قبول نہیں جو کفر پر ہی مر جائیں، یہی لوگ ہیں جن کے لئے ہم نے المناک عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے۔

Those of your women who commit lewdness, you must have four witnesses against them, from among you. If they testify, confine them to the homes until death claims them, or God makes a way for them.
As for those of your women who are guilty of lewdness, call to witness four of you against them. And if they testify (to the truth of the allegation) then confine them to the houses until death take them or (until) Allah appoint for them a way (through new legislation)
Against those of your women who commit adultery, call witnesses four in number from among yourselves; and if these bear witness, then keep the women in houses until death release them, or God shall make for them a way
If any of your women be guilty of whoredom, then bring four witnesses against them from among yourselves; and if they bear witness to the fact, shut them up within their houses till death release them, or God make some way for them
If any of your women be guilty of whoredom, produce four witnesses from among you against them, and if they bear witness against them, imprison them in separate apartments until death release them, or God affordeth them a way to escape

And as for the two of you who are guilty thereof, punish them both. And if they repent and improve, then let them be. Lo! Allah is ever relenting, Merciful
And if two of you commit it, then hurt them both; but if they turn again and amend, leave them alone, verily, God is easily turned, compassionate
And if two men among you commit the same crime, then punish them both; but if they turn and amend, then let them be: for God is He who turneth, Merciful
And if two of you commit the like wickedness, punish them both: But if they repent and amend, let them both alone; for God is easy to be reconciled and merciful

And live with them in kindness. If you dislike them, it may be that you dislike something in which God has placed much good.
O ye who believe! It is not lawful for you forcibly to inherit the women (of your deceased kinsmen), nor (that) ye should put constraint upon them that ye may take away a part of that which ye have given them, unless they be guilty of flagrant lewdness. But consort with them in kindness, for if ye hate them it may happen that ye hate a thing wherein Allah hath placed much good
O ye who believe! it is not lawful for you to inherit women's estates against their will; nor to hinder them, that ye may go off with part of what ye brought them, unless they commit fornication manifestly; but associate with them in reason, for if ye are averse from them, it may be that ye are averse from something wherein God has put much good for you
O believers! it is not allowed you to be heirs of your wives against their will; nor to hinder them from marrying, in order to take from them part of the dowry you had given them, unless they have been guilty of undoubted lewdness; but associate kindly with them: for if ye are estranged from them, haply ye are estranged from that in which God hath placed abundant good
O true believers, it is not lawful for you to be heirs of women against their will, nor to hinder them from marrying others, that ye may take away part of what ye have given them in dowry; unless they have been guilty of a manifest crime: But converse kindly with them. And if ye hate them, it may happen that ye may hate a thing wherein God hath placed much good
وَإِنْ أَرَدتُّمُ ٱسْتِبْدَالَ زَوْجٍ مَّكَانَ زَوْجٍ وَءَاتَيْتُمْ إِحْدَىٰهُنَّ قِنطَارًا فَلَا تَأْخُذُوا۟ مِنْهُ شَيْـًٔا أَتَأْخُذُونَهُۥ بُهْتَٰنًا وَإِثْمًا مُّبِينًا

But if ye wish to exchange one wife for another, and have given one of them a talent, then take not from it anything. What! would you take it for a calumny and a manifest crime
And if ye be desirous to exchange one wife for another, and have given one of them a talent, make no deduction from it. Would ye take it by slandering her, and with manifest wrong
If ye be desirous to exchange a wife for another wife, and ye have already given one of them a talent; take not away any thing therefrom; Will ye take it by slandering her, and doing her manifest unjustice

Read across the four public-domain translations - Sale 1734, Rodwell 1861, Palmer 1880, Pickthall 1930 - of 3:135-136, 7:146, 7:136-137, 10:7-8, 4:17-18, in full, and nothing else. This study consults no , no , no occasion of revelation and no biography, because none is yet available in an edition whose usage rights can be verified. Itani 2012, the fifth translation shown with these verses, was not consulted for this study.
How this set was arrived at. The verses were found by a word search of the four public-domain translations, using terms chosen by the editor and listed here as they were searched - persist + not + knowingly + in + what + they + did; persist + in + the + great + sin; they + were + not + stubborn; heedless + of + our + revelations. The search was a way of finding passages, not a judgement about what they mean: that several translators chose the same English word is not evidence about the Arabic. A different choice of terms gives a different set.
Verses carried by more than one study. Some passages here also serve another study. Each carries its own reason in each place, and the reason states where else it appears.
Where the translations part company, named rather than resolved. How differently the translations word each verse is shown on that verse's page, and the study names the differences it turns on rather than choosing between them.
