Eighty-eight verses on Moses before he is a prophet: the basket on the river, the household that raises him, the man he strikes and kills, the flight to Madyan, the years of work for a bride price, and the fire on the mountain on the road back. Late in it comes Qarun, whose wealth and whose house the earth swallows. It opens with disconnected letters.
